Actor John Stamos is a beloved television star, best known for his role as Jesse Katsopolis on the hit sitcom "Full House." From 1987 to 1995, fans would curl up around their TVs and swoon over Uncle Jesse. Stamos also had a starring role on the primetime drama series "ER," where he portrayed Dr. Tony Gates. Beginning in 2016, Stamos reprised his role of Uncle Jesse and began appearing in "Fuller House," which he also produced.
Stamos was born in Cypress, California, in 1963, and his family's original surname was Stamatopoulos. The actor has always had a love for music. He has been playing the drums since he was 4, and later in life, he began learning to play the guitar and started his own band called Destiny. The band even had the chance to perform at some amusement parks and parties.
Stamos' love for music can be seen through his character on "Full House." Uncle Jesse idolized Elvis the same way Stamos does in real life. On the show, you could often see Stamos playing the guitar and performing Elvis and Beach Boys songs. Stamos has had a long history of performing with the Beach Boys and even appeared in their video for the song "Kokomo."
Stamos used to have a reputation as a ladies' man, but he is much more family-oriented now. In 2017, he announced he was going to marry actress Caitlin McHugh Stamos and the couple welcomed their son William "Billy" Christopher to the world in 2018. Billy is now three and starting to enjoy the magic of Disney, something he shares with his parents, who have a history of incorporating Disney into their lives.

Stamos' current job is working on the Disney Plus series, "Big Shot." The actor wrote about how he got the role on his Instagram account:
"I've managed to avoid anything sports related in my 30 + years in this business we call 'show' but when David E. Kelley & Disney Plus ask you to play a basketball coach, you play! The 10-episode series follows a temperamental college basketball coach (Stamos) who gets fired from his job and must take a coaching job at an elite all-girls private high school."
Working closely with Disney is nothing new for Stamos. While on "Full House," the star got to spend a lot of time filming episodes at Disney World. In April 2019, he returned to Disney parks with his "Fuller House" castmates Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and Josh Peck. In another Instagram post, he joked, "Literally never felt more UNsafe in my life" under a picture of the four men on the "Alice In Wonderland" ride at Disneyland.
In a video also shared to Stamos' Instagram, you can see him with his wife and son in bed with their Mickey Mouse ears on. The video was recorded during quarantine when Disneyland was closed, so the family gathered together to sing Disney songs in bed. Stamos captioned the video, "'It's a Small World' family Sing-A-Long turned into a 'Small Disaster!'" After a moment of singing together nicely, Billy lost interest and began to attack his mom playfully. Caitlin cried out as Billy tried to bite her, and Stamos just laughed good-naturedly.

Stamos shared with People Magazine, "It's wonderful to see Billy get excited about stuff now. We took him (to the Disney parks) a bunch (when he was younger). I think he went there when he wasn't even a year old yet because I was working down there and we all went."
Stamos added, "He's definitely a Disney kid because he loves (the movies). His first movie he loved that he watched was 'Coco'. (He watched it) before he could barely talk. He was like 'Coco, Coco.' He loves 'Coco,' he loves 'Moana.' He loves those animated (films)."
Billy isn't the only one with a passion for all things Disney. Stamos and Caitlin actually announced their engagement to the public with a drawn image of the couple in front of the castle at Disneyland. The caption reads, "I asked...she said yes! ...And we lived happily ever after."
A source close to the happy couple shared with People, "John and Caitlin are very much in love and supportive of each other. John is so happy with Caitlin and his friends and family love her just as much. John and Caitlin have an incredible amount in common, not to mention their love for Disney! They exchanged vows in front of family and close friends. It was a very touching ceremony. There were tears, but mostly smiles. John and Caitlyn looked very happy."
Stamos even took Caitlin to the exclusive Disneyland establishment, Club 33, to celebrate her birthday. 'The most magnificent adventure I ever started was the day I met you. It doesn't matter where our journey takes us, so long as we're together. Thank you for the constant reminder of how blessed my life is. Happy 33rd at Club 33," the actor wrote on his Instagram.
