Jennifer Lopez's Daughter Emme Discloses Which Song She's Considering Singing at Mom's Wedding

A mother-daughter relationship is a special one indeed, and even more so when they are together for important milestone events. Jennifer Lopez will get to experience her wedding day with her two children, as well as with her fiance Alex Rodriguez's two children. Jennifer's daughter, Emme, takes after her mother in many ways and has shown her incredible inherited talent for singing. In this short clip from October 2020, Emme reveals which song she would like to sing for her mother at her wedding.

Jennifer Lopez shared twin children with former partner Marc Anthony: Emme and Maximillian. Emme, in particular, has shown her prowess as a singer just like her mama and has most recently even performed with her mother during the half-time show at the 2020 Super Bowl. 

For Jennifer, singing is more about bonding with her daughter than about putting her in the spotlight, reports Hello.  "It's something that we connect on, is singing," she says.

Emme recently spoke to Entertainment Online during a virtual interview and was asked, "Your mom is probably gonna ask you to sing at her wedding. What song are you probably gonna sing at her wedding?"

Emme seemed excited at the thought of singing for her mother during the wedding and became thoughtful about which song would be the right fit. "That is a good question," she says. "Well, one song that I think I would sing is a song that connects me and her."

She finally decides on You Are My Sunshine, which is an emotionally infused song for her. "She sang that to me every day when I was little, when I was going to sleep," Emme said. Emme also wonders, however, about a song that is meaningful for her mother and her fiance, retired baseball star Alex Rodriguez, so the choice may not be set in stone just yet.

Emme has recently made a mark in the literary world and has released a children's book called Lord Help Me, reports Daily Mail. She has been on a virtual tour to promote the book.

Jennifer Lopez became engaged to Alex Rodriguez in March 2019, and their wedding was set to happen in summer 2020 in Italy, reports Entertainment Online. However, due to the pandemic, the couple had to postpone their nuptials. There is no wedding date set yet. 

Regarding the wedding date, Jennifer shared with NBC Today that, "Nobody knows because, really, there's no planning right now. You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out, and it's disappointing on one level." She also adds, "I'm a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans."
