Jennifer Aniston is an American actress that rose to international fame for her role as Rachel Green in the hit series "Friends." Born to two actors, John Aniston and Nancy Dow, she came to acting early in life. While attending her Waldorf school, Aniston fell in love with acting at age 11.
She later enrolled at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan. After high school, Aniston worked part-time jobs like waitressing and telemarketing to support herself while she performed in off-Broadway productions. She would eventually move to Los Angeles, California, where she soon hit fame.
In her role as Rachel on "Friends," which aired from 1994 to 2004, Aniston hit the jackpot. She won a Primetime Emmy Award for the show, as well as a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award. Her character was extremely popular and is considered one of the best female roles in television history.
Aniston has also starred in a number of films and is considered one of Hollywood's highest-paid actresses. Films that star Aniston in a leading role have grossed over $1.6 billion worldwide, while 12 of those films earned over 100 million dollars. Her most popular film roles were in "Bruce Almighty," "The Break-Up," "Horrible Bosses" and "We're the Millers."
With Aniston's major A-list reputation, it is no surprise her name has been in and out of tabloids and press since she stepped on the scene many years ago. However, when it comes to her overall wellness, Aniston takes matters into her own hands.
Aniston doesn’t just make movie deals, she is well-known for making popular brand deals as well. From Aveeno to Smart Water, to Vital Proteins, the actress is the star of the show in the wellness world too. Since her 20s Aniston has shared that she wasn’t always into making her health and wellness a priority. When she became People Magazine's Most Beautiful Woman in 2016 the star shared, “It’s funny, it’s a really quick transition from not a care and now all of a sudden, we’ve got to really be mindful of what we put inside our bodies. ... And how we sleep and take care of ourselves. You can get away with a lot in your 20s.”
At age 53, Aniston handles her health much differently than decades ago. In an interview with Vogue in 2021, she pulled back the curtain on what she does for her health and well-being. She admitted that she starts her mornings slowly. I don’t look at my phone for at least the first hour after waking up. The mental difference this makes impacts the whole day,” she shared. “Sometimes I go more than an hour without checking my phone. It’s so interesting because you start getting these text messages that are like, ‘Hello? Where are you??’ Where am I? I’m taking my time!” she added.
Aniston said she is also very conscious of what she intakes from the media. “It’s hard to take in very limited amounts of news,” Aniston said. “But there were times I just needed to take a break from the news — and from getting on social media It's just so toxic. I understand the innocence of how it was birthed and the intention was to bring people together and create a social community,” she said.

The star added she understands that social media is a balance of good and evil. “And that’s lovely, but you have to take the good with the bad — that people just sit there and throw emotional knives at other people on these platforms. This skin is really not hard enough to take any of that. So now, it’s like, do not look at the comments section,” she added.
The actress also said she believes in a pro-aging mindset which started at a very young age for her. She acknowledged that she was set up for success because of her family. “My mother was always so healthy and beautifully fit when I was a kid. I’ve always had that as my foundation,” she said. “What my Mom used to say to me was, ‘This is about longevity. It’s a privilege to grow old, but we don't have to grow sick.’ It’s just sort of been a theme in my life: to enjoy the age I am and not look at aging as a negative, but as the privilege that it is. We all age!” she shared.
Not only does she acknowledge the aging process but she also believes you should be a lifelong learner. “I'm at the age where I'm more interested than ever in my health, and my life is thriving, but according to society, this is when I should be going out to pasture. No, no, no. Youth is wasted on the young, I get it. But I want to keep putting information in my head that’s going to inspire me,” she admitted.
