Jamie Lee Curtis Tributes "Handsome and Talented" Late Father Tony Curtis On His Birthday

On Thursday, June 4th, actor Jamie Lee Curtis took to Instagram to pay tribute to her late father Tony Curtis in honor of his birthday. Along with a photo of her young father, she wrote a heartfelt caption to pay tribute. 

The throwback photo Jamie Lee Curtis posted of her father Tony featured him sitting with a smiling face with one hand to his ear. The actor coupled her post with an impressive caption about Tony Curtis. She wrote:

"My handsome and talented father. Tony Curtis was born this day...a global star. He participated in civil rights..."

Before Jamie Lee Curtis concluded her post with the very true statement that the world misses her father, she hinted at the possibility of watching "Defiant Ones" one of her dad's feature films, as a way of honoring his legacy. The 60-year-old actress reminded fans that she is always remembering and thinking about her father, who passed away at the age of 84.

The actress also took the time to honor her father with a post back in September of last year, as it marked the ninth anniversary of Tony Curtis' death.

Jamie Lee Curtis pursued an acting career by following in the footsteps of not only her father but also his first wife, Janet Leigh, who was also in the acting business.
