Jacqueline Lee Kennedy Onassis, better known as Jackie Kennedy, was an American socialite, writer, and photographer who became a prominent figure after becoming the First Lady of the United States. At just 31 years old, Jackie was the third-youngest first lady at the time of her husband’s inauguration. As the wife of President John F. Kennedy, Jackie’s main focus was on the White House restoration and emphasis on the arts and culture. Her impeccable fashion sense, fondness for children, and charming personality made her a favorite among the general public.

With the perfect image that John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie upheld as the first couple, many Americans regard them as the epitome of the ideal, all-American marriage. However, beyond their make-believe image of a perfect couple, the president had several extramarital affairs — even while in office. John F. Kennedy became notorious for his multiple love affairs while in office. According to Express, the president had even been involved with big names like Marilyn MonroeMarlene Dietrich, and Judith Campbell Exner. One of his affairs even included his wife's sister, Caroline Radziwill.

Jackie had some personal lows in her marriage besides her husband’s extramarital affairs; she suffered a miscarriage in her first pregnancy and gave birth to a stillborn in her second. Eventually, the couple welcomed two children, daughter Caroline Kennedy and son John F. Kennedy Jr., during the course of their union.

Besides her role as the First Lady, Jackie kept her love for the arts alive, uplifting American arts and history. It is no wonder that her first grandchild, Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, is a reflection of her, both in her love for the arts and in resemblance.

After her husband was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963, Jackie and her children withdrew from the public eye as they mourned the president’s death. After a few years, it was revealed that Jackie had married Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis in October 1968, causing major controversy. Onassis had been invited to Kennedy’s funeral and even stayed at the White House afterward.

Before their marriage, the two were friends, and Onassis was actually a former partner to Jackie’s own sister, Carolina Radziwill, who went by the name Lee. The sisters used to be close during their younger years, but their relationship grew rocky as they got older on account of some scandals surrounding their relationships with each other’s partners. On top of this, Radziwill always felt like she was living in her sister’s shadow, as Jackie had been the center of attention for quite some time, furthering their rivalry. After Radziwill had an affair with Kennedy, Jackie found her revenge years later when she married her sister’s former flame.

In 2018, the Daily Mail reported that the sisters’ complicated relationship seemingly played out with Radziwill having an affair with Jackie’s husband and Jackie marrying the man her sister was desperately in love with. Authors Sam Kashner and Nancy Schoenberger detailed the sisters’ tumultuous relationship in their book “The Fabulous Bouvier Sisters: The Tragic and Glamorous Lives of Jackie and Lee.” The authors explained how Jackie used to keep a list of her enemies and never forgot anything, including the time her sister betrayed her.

The Daily Mail also reported that Radziwill wasn’t even included in Jackie’s 38-page will after she died in 1994, although she expressed having “great affection” for her sister. Jackie also reportedly took her revenge on her sister and “stole” Onassis away from her.

On Jan. 29, 2017, author Emily Giffin shared a collage of Schlossberg and Jackie on Instagram. From her facial features, one could tell that Schlossberg bore a striking resemblance to her grandmother, Jackie. Schlossberg’s wide eyes, eyebrow shape, and smile bore close similarities to Jackie’s.

The Instagram post was not the first time the resemblance between Schlossberg and Jackie was noticed. In a 2010 publication by the New York Post, Schlossberg was referred to as “Jackie 2.0.” It was noted that, besides their resemblance, the Harvard graduate channeled her grandmother’s fashion sense and carried herself with as much grace as a royal would.

In a 2022 publication by Daily Mail, beachgoers at a surf spot in Ventura, California, where Schlossberg went surfing, noted her obvious resemblance with her grandmother.

“She has the dark eyebrows and wide set eyes, and that same wan smile that Jackie had. Rose has her quiet grace as well; it’s absolutely uncanny,” a beachgoer told Daily Mail.

Schlossberg's resemblance to Jackie goes beyond just their similar facial features. Like her grandmother, the Harvard graduate also has a passion for the arts. She graduated from Harvard in 2010 with a BA in English. After her first degree, Schlossberg went on to pursue a graduate degree in New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), graduating in 2013 with a Master of Professional Studies (MPS).

In 2016, three years after her second degree, an idea she thought about during her graduate studies became her first stint as an actor and filmmaker. Schlossberg collaborated with Mara Nelson-Greenberg to create a comedy web series called “End Times Girls Club.” Schlossberg told Mashable that the series was created after seeing New York’s response to Hurricane Sandy.

"I thought it would be interesting to create this world where girls have to be survivalists without compromising their cute factor," she said.
