After graduating from college, Jaclyn moved to New York City where she was sure to have plenty of opportunities to delve into her career. Although the producers of the show were initially searching for a redheaded female to play the role, they soon realized that Jaclyn was the perfect match. The show aired in 1976 and gained fame slowly, but steadily. The adventures of Kelly Garrett, Jill Munroe, and Sabrina Duncan quickly became the talk of Hollywood. During her time in Hollywood, Jaclyn Smith launched her own clothing line of accessories and apparel. It was an incredible success and Jaclyn became a role model for women everywhere. Not only had she topped the world of entertainment, but she was also delving into business.
In the year 1981, Jaclyn was married to Anthony B. Richmond, a known cinematographer. They had a child four years later and established a small family. Now that Jaclyn is 77 years old, she is spending plenty of time with her family and trying to create as many memories with them as possible.
