Israeli Actress Meital Dohan Discloses That Her Split From Al Pacino Was Due To Their 39-Year Age Difference

After an interview with popular Israeli magazine, La'Isha, Isreali actress Meital Dohan confirms her split from Al Pacino. The actress says that the break-up was a result of their age gap, among other factors.

After doing an interview with Israeli magazine, La'Isha, actress Meital Dohan, 40, disclosed that her and Al Pacino, 79, have split-up. The Israeli actress said the 39-year age gap was responsible for their break-up, among other reasons. The confirmation of their splitting was awaited after Al Pacino's solo appearance at the 2020 Oscars. :

"It's hard to be with a man so old, even Al Pacino," Dohan said in her interview. "The age gap is difficult, yes. I tried to deny it, but now he is already an elderly man, to be honest. So even with all my love, it didn’t last.”

When asked about memories and gifts from her relationship with Al Pacino, Dohan laughed and said:

 "He only bought me flowers...How can I say politely that he didn’t like to spend money?”

Meital did note in her interview that she hopes she and Al Pacino remain good friends and that she is grateful to have been a part of his legacy. Before his solo appearance at the Oscars, Al Pacino was last seen with Dohan when they attended The Irishman premiere together in Los Angeles in October of 2019. 

Many Girlfriends But Never Married

79-year-old Al Pacino has never been married but has had many girlfriends in his life. He is also a father of three children, including 18-year-old twins Olivia and Anton, which he had with Beverly D'Angelo, as well as 30-year-old producer Julie Marie, who he had with his previous acting coach Jan Tarrant.

Past girlfriends of Pacino include Tuesday Weld, Marthe Keller, Kathleen Quinlan, among others throughout the decades.

Early 1970s: Jill Clayburgh

Pacino dated actress Jill Clayburgh five years before The Godfather brought him to global fame. The couple lived together in New York City during the '70s, but Pacino ended the relationship suddenly on his own accord. 

In an interview with The Washington Post, Clayburgh admitted that the most painful moment in her life was when Al Pacino left her. She said:

"I went through it all: self-loathing, loathing him, pain, anger, fear...I still remember my song with Al now: It's Too Late, Baby."

Jill Clayburgh died in 2010 at age 66 after struggling with chronic lymphocytic leukemia for 20 years. 

1970s-1990s: Diane Keaton

After meeting on the set of The Godfather in 1971, Keaton and Pacino dated on-and-off until the early 1990s until their relationship eventually ended In an interview with The Telegraph, Keaton said:

"I was really very taken with Al from the very beginning. Our relationship was absolutely wonderful in some ways, but is he the love of my life? No, not really, because he wasn’t the love 'of my life'…He was the love of that time of my life."

1980s-1990s: Lyndall Hobbs

Pacino met Hobbs, an Australian film director and journalist, in 1982 and soon after they started dating. In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Hobbs said:

"Al and I spent a few months together but he wasn't a huge amount of fun. He was shy and neurotic. It ended and I went to live in LA. We didn't see each other for six years."

1990s: Penelope Anne Miller

Miller and Pacino met on the set of Carlito's Way that later released in 1993. In an interview with People Magazine, Miller said of Pacino:

“Al is a very passionate person, and he brought out a certain womanliness, a sexuality, a passion in me. I think I always knew I had it in me, but he brought out a real fire.”

1990s-2000s: Beverly D'Angelo

Four years after they started dating, Pacino and Beverly D'Angelo had twins together while Beverly was in her late 40s. Although she and Pacino never married, D'Angelo told Fox News in an interview that Pacino looked her in the eyes and said, "I want you to be the mother of my children" after only three months of dating. 

According to E! Online, the couple fought for custody of the twins–who are now 18– in 2003 and reached a settlement after much arguing in 2004. 

2009-2015, 2017-2018: Lucila Solá/Polak

Before dating Meital Dohan, Pacino had an on-and-off relationship with Argentine actress Lucila Solá, also known as Lucia Polak. They 2014 Venice Film Festival together before Lucila and Al's split. Lucila later had a daughter with Maximo Morrone called Camilla Morrone, who is currently the girlfriend of Leonardo di Caprio.
