Internet Lauds Lady Gaga For Her ‘Pure Instinct’ On Helping A Photographer Who Fell At The Oscars Carpet

Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is an American pop star, songwriter, and actress. The award-winning artist rose to fame in 2008 when she released her debut single, "Just Dance." The singer quickly garnered international fame due to her elaborate costumes, catchy lyrics, impressive dance movements, and powerful vocal talents. Her debut album, "The Fame," was released in 2008. She went on to release hits like “Poker Face," "Bad Romance," and "Born This Way." 

While maintaining her highly successful music career, the singer ventured into acting. Gaga appeared in "Machete Kills" and "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For." In 2015, the Grammy-winning artist joined the anthology series "American Horror Story." Lady Gaga received a Golden Globe Award for her dazzling performance in the series. In 2018, Lady Gaga wowed the critics with her remarkable performance in her first lead role as Ally Maine in "A Star Is Born."

Along with starring in the film, the singer-songwriter co-wrote the majority of the songs in the film. The film's lead single, "Shallow," won two Grammy Awards and an Oscar. 

At the 2023 Oscars, Lady Gaga was nominated again for her song “Hold My Hand” from the movie, “Top Gun: Maverick.” Initially, the singer’s attendance at the show was up in the air as Oscar showrunners revealed that she was busy filming her upcoming film, “Joker: Folie à Deux.”

That is why everyone was thrilled when she arrived on the champagne-colored carpet at the Oscars. But aside from posing in front of the cameras, Lady Gaga also surprised everyone when she did a very thoughtful act when one of the photographers got into an accident.

She is a fierce activist for LGBTQ+ rights, a champion of mental health awareness, a philanthropist, a humanitarian, and even an education advocate. It is because of her innate talent and kindhearted soul that has drawn fans to her all over the world. 

In one of her stops on the Joanne World Tour in 2018 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Lady Gaga invited 12-year-old Owen Zalenski onstage to perform “Million Reasons” with her. Zalenski has a “rare form” of autism and was diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, a rare, catastrophic, lifelong form of epilepsy.

Lady Gaga’s emotional and heartfelt performance with the young kid was lauded by people on the internet. It was one of the many ways that the singer showed her kindness and compassion for the people around her. 

In March 2023, the “Rain On Me” singer had everyone online applauding for her after she rushed to help a member of the press during an accident on the champagne-colored carpet at the 2023 Oscars.

Despite confirming to the showrunners days before that she would not be performing at the Oscars ceremony, Lady Gaga took the stage at the Dolby Theatre in California and pulled out a last-minute show on March 12, 2023. 

She ditched her Versace gown and full face makeup for a pair of black jeans, a plain black shirt, and a rundown pair of sneakers. 

“It’s deeply personal for me, and I think that we all need each other. We need a lot of love to walk through this life,” Lady Gaga explained before performing the song. 

While sitting on a stool, barefaced, Lady Gaga gave a soulful and heartfelt performance of her Oscar-nominated song “Hold My Hand.”

The crowd gave her resounding applause and a standing ovation after her performance. But it wasn’t the only round of applause she received after the ceremony. 

Hours before her now-viral performance, Lady Gaga was seen helping out a photographer on the Champagne carpet who got into a small accident. 

In a video shared by Pop Base, the 36-year-old singer instinctively rushed to the photographer who had just passed by her as he tripped. As soon as the photographer regained his balance, Lady Gaga asked her how he was doing, to which the latter responded positively. 

People online had nothing but positive comments on her very thoughtful action. 

“Notice how she didn't even think about it, it was in her reflex to help him, she's just genuinely sweet and kind,” a user said.

“Notice how she was the ONLY one who motioned to help! The world needs more people like her, she’s a class act,” someone shared. 

“Lady Gaga acted on pure instinct and her instinct is attuned to doing what is good straight from the heart without hesitation. It’s wonderful to see,” another echoed.
