Marie Osmond is best known for her work as a singer, actress and talk show host. She is part of the famous family known as the Osmonds, and has shown a sheer amount of talent in every avenue she’s pursued. Marie first appeared on stage when she was only four years old, and eventually went on to make a real name for herself, finding success both with her family and on her own.
Born Oct. 13, 1959, Marie grew up in Utah and was the eighth out of nine children in her family. She was also the only daughter in the large bunch. She was never officially part of her family’s singing group, but still found success in the music industry as a solo country singer in the 1970s and 1980s. Along with fame on her own, she also found fame with her brother Donny Osmond as they hosted the TV variety show titled “Donny & Marie” together from 1976 to 1979.
As someone who has spent a lot of time working in the entertainment industry, it’s safe to say that Marie has relished in the personal moments in her life, such as being at home. The successful woman has lived in various homes throughout her lifetime, but the one that stands out the most is her home in St. George, Utah.
This home is filled with plenty of memories, specifically of her son who tragically passed away in 2010 at the age of 18. Read on to find out more about the sentimental home that Marie cherishes.

Remembering Her Past
As someone who has had many ups and downs in her life, Marie has continuously taken trips down memory lane to relive some of those past feelings. Speaking with Closer Weekly, Marie talked about how grateful she was to have such a humble beginning. “I feel so blessed that I’ve done so many different things,” she said.
It seems like Marie has time and again paid homage to her past experiences and what led her to where she is today. Back in August 2020, she shared a video on her Instagram showing the emotional moment she visited her childhood home in Utah. She captioned the video:
“The Christmas movie we were filming is shooting in Huntsville, Utah. Right by the house I grew up in!! Loved getting the chance to take a drive by, I have so many wonderful childhood memories in this home.”
Throughout the clip, the “Paper Roses” singer showed off the red-brick ranch she used to live in with her famous family. She went on to share some of her favorite old stories with Donny and her other family members. “My uncle Ralph, my dad’s brother, built that house,” she said. “My brother Wayne built us a fake airplane and he did everything with bottle caps.”
While it was clear that revisiting her childhood home brought back many beautiful memories, this is just one of the homes that holds a deep sentimental value to Marie. In fact, her home in St. George, Utah, is the one that Marie is very fond of as she shares it with her husband, Steve Craig.

Sharing The Memories
The home also holds several memories of Marie’s late son named Michael, according to Closer Weekly. ABC News reported that Michael had died by suicide in February 2010 at the age of 18. He had struggled with his mental health, something that Marie knew all too well. “I’m not a depressed person, but I understand that place, that darkness,” Marie said in 2010.
Marie has gone on to share some of her fondest memories with her son that still live on in her humble abode. “This is where I (have) all the good memories,” she said, referring to her craft room. The room also had a white sofa in it that was very meaningful to her.
“This is Mike’s couch,” she said. “This is the one thing I wanted. This is the last thing we bought together.” Marie continued, “I come in here and I like taking a nap on it. It’s comforting and I remember when we got it and how much he loved it. Those are the things that mean a lot to mothers.”
According to Closer Weekly, Marie’s home in St. George has a rec room, a home theater, a sauna and even an island in the middle of her outdoor pool. What she enjoys most about her home, though, is the time she gets to spend with her husband. They relocated to the home in early 2020. “We remarried, we were apart for like 25 years, so all of a sudden we are alone -- this is the first time we’ve been alone since I can remember,” she said.
It’s clear that this home has a lot of character and holds many cherished memories.
