1. Wear comfortable shoes and go barefoot more often.

A bruised bone or torn muscle in our feet can make it hard or impossible to walk. Although we wear shoes on a daily basis, humans are naturally intended to walk barefoot. It is therapeutic to go barefoot when the opportunity is available. When it is not, make sure you're wearing a comfortable pair of shoes with solid support.

2. Add more calcium to your diet.

Calcium helps to build strong bones in the body. We have been told this from a very young age and it never stops being true. As we age, however, this saying does become more important. When we're children, our bones are growing stronger each day naturally? Bones become more brittle and fragile the older we get. It is important to change your position every hour or so to allow the body to move. This can make it easier to hold a good posture for a longer. Consistently changing your posture also helps to save particular parts of your body from becoming too stressed.

6. Improve your balance.

Balance is something that people tend to work on as children for fun and then completely ignore in older age. The process of maintaining balance helps to connect the brain with muscles and the entire nervous system. An improvement in communication and connection can lead to better posture. Our bodies are better trained to perform the commands that our brains give.

7. Perform some exercises.

There are some specific exercises that can help strengthen some of the muscles needed for good posture. Any exercise that helps build strength and endurance in the muscles of the lower back is very important for posture. The Cobra Pose is a great exercise for that purpose.
