'Idol' Singer Shocks With Swoon-Worthy Sam Cooke Cover

American Idol singer Laine Hardy of Louisiana impresses the judges and audience with a heart-melting version of a popular Sam Cooke song. There’s no lack of talent and entertainment on the American Idol program.
Each season a new batch of talented singers and performers appear on the much-viewed talent show, hoping for their big break into stardom.

Recently, a rock star returned to the program for a second shot at the show, and fans are going crazy over his smooth sound. Laine Hardy, from the lovely state of Louisiana, has come back for a second season of American Idol.
This handsome crooner has been breaking hearts and making us want to jump and jive with this lively rock performances. Laine was an excellent performer during season 16 of American Idol. The judges noticed him during an audition and couldn’t help inviting him to sing for the show.

They knew we’d enjoy listening and watching Laine, and we did. During the Hawaiian Top 40 getaway, the young performer sang and played “Come Together,” which was first made famous by the iconic group The Beatles. Hardy’s raspy voice and high energy singing set the tone he wanted to produce to set the mood, and the crowd went wild.
Rhythm and Soul Hardy continues to cover classic Rock and Roll, Rhythm and soul hits with his rendition of “Bring it on Home to Me." This song was initially a hit for Sam Cooke, the King of Soul. Hardy’s version of this classic began soft and low during the intro. Next, Laine cued the band to bring up the rock and roll as well as the tempo.

Combine slick dance moves with a gravelly vocal performance, and the audience and judges had a blast. Hardy even got the judges dancing. Katy Perry told Laine that he’d taken command of the stage.
Luke was amazed at the improvement in Hardy’s voice in a year. Luke also stated that the performer was giving his performances his all. That’s quite the compliment. Best of luck to Laine Hardy during this season’s competition!
