‘I Got My Babies Off That Bus.’ Driver Saves 20 Elementary School Children From A Burning Bus

Bus driver Reneita Smith sensed that something was wrong with the bus as she was driving 20 kids home on a sunny Monday afternoon. The brake light was flashing, and soon after smoke emitted from the back of the bus and engulfed it in flames. Reneita immediately sprung into action to save all 20 kids.

"I didn't see other people's children, I saw MY children," said Reneita.

Reneita is an absolute hero for her courageous and selfless act, and the local fire department praised her for her quick thinking. Those 20 kids are safe and sound thanks to her!
