Exercise can slow the aging process. Both stretching and weight training are important. Jogging or walking just 30 minutes daily can contribute to better health as you get older. You may want to consult your doctor about the best exercises to do to avoid injury.

You may surprised to learn that back problems are one of the major signs of aging. If you are overweight or have poor posture, this will exacerbate any back problems. You should also be careful when lifting objects.

Exercise 1 For Back Strength

There are several exercises you can do to help reduce keep your back strong and pain-free. Do 10-15 repetitions of each of these exercise. For the first exercise, you should hold light weights at your side, keep your knees slightly bent, and bend slightly at your waist. Your arms should then be raised until your arms and hands are parallel with the floor. After a brief pause, lower them.

Exercise 2 For Back Strength

Next, lean the right or left knee and palm on a bench. Holding a weight in the other hand, move it up slowly and bend the elbow. Stop and hold for a moment when you reach your abdomen and return the hand to the starting position. After your reps, switch to the other side.

For the third exercise, get on your hands and knees. Slowly lift the left arm and right leg until they are parallel, then lower them. After you finish your repetitions, do the same with the right arm and left leg.

Exercise 4 For Back Strength

While lying on your stomach, slowly raise your head and upper chest, making sure you keep your spine aligned. Then lower them.

Exercise 5 For Back Strength

This is the same as exercise 4, but your arms should be straight out in front of you. Do the same movement while raising those arms along with the head and chest.

Other Signs Of Aging

Memory problems, high blood pressure, and a loss of vision of hearing are also indicators of aging. While vision problems may begin in your 40s, it is unlikely you will experience the others until at least your 60s. Diabetes and other chronic disease may bring these symptoms on earlier, and if you are younger than 40 or have other symptoms, you may want to see a doctor.

Tips For Slowing The Aging Process

Regular doctor visits to have your hearing and vision checked and seeing a dentist regularly are all important. You should stay active for a stronger heart and muscles and to keep blood pressure down. Vitamin E supplements and sunscreen help keep your skin younger. A healthy diet with plenty of fish, whole grains, fruit and vegetables is also important.
