Homeless Boy Sheds Tears Over New Home After Sleeping On Garage Floor For A Month

A home is an important place for children during their formative years, as parents only want the best for their kids. Most people consider their houses as a safe space wherein they share many memories together, including those early stages of childhood.

However, there was one mother in Florida who struggled to keep a roof under her family members’ heads after she almost lost her husband, who had been providing financially for the rest of the family.

In a TikTok video shared by Mallory Ellis in March 2023, she detailed how her husband almost left them, but he was able to get through his medical problems after a big life-saving surgery which the family was very grateful for.

Unfortunately, the father of the household didn’t have any financial sources for over seven months, and the family struggled with their bills.

Ellis resorted to working two jobs, but it was not enough for them to keep their apartment, which led them to become homeless in January 2023.

Following the tragic situation, she, her husband, and their children left behind the place which they once considered their home.

Luckily for them, someone offered a spare room for them to live in temporarily as they couldn’t find other places to go due to the high rental prices in the state of Florida.

After living with the friend, they eventually decided to move into a hotel, which was exhausting for them as they had to check in and out of rooms on a daily basis.

Since her children are very young, Ellis mentioned in the video that she tried to always put a smile on her face whenever she was with her kids for them to feel secure.

In an initial post on the social media platform, the mother of two shared that their family had been homeless for a month at the time, and her kids were in a terrible situation as they slept on the garage floor and they only had three days in their temporary home, but they have been denied of a place to live in again.

After the video went viral with hundreds of thousands of views and most of the comments were full of love and prayers, a ray of hope struck the family as they finally had a house to move into.

In another clip, the mother captured the heartwarming moment wherein her sons found out about the big surprise.

“We sign a lease today,” she told her kids before revealing that they would move in on April 10, 2023.

Following this, the younger kid appeared to be shocked before bursting into tears and jumping up and down because of excitement. His older brother and father comforted him until he walked toward his mom to give her a big hug.

“So happy! So ready to be HOME. It was all worth it for this moment,” she wrote in the text that appeared in the video.

After the video went viral, it amassed thousands of comments, and it seems like the young kid’s reaction touched the hearts of many people, who sent their love and well-wishes for the family’s future.

“Every wish this kid hoped for, just came to fruition. Way to go mom and dad. you guys rock!” one user commented.

There was also one user who had been struggling with the same situation herself. She commented, “I’m so happy for you. 💗 I am struggling myself right now so I know what this means.”
