High School Sweethearts Ripped Apart By Racism Reunite And Marry 45 Years Later

Sometimes it's very hard to forget your high school crush and love especially if the relationship ended on a bad note. This is the remarkable story of Myra Clark and Howard Foster, two high school sweethearts that fell in love in 1967, but had to break off the relationship due to segregation laws at the time.

Even though these two young kids were in love at the time, they couldn't be seen together.

There was always the possibility of both families being abused by the society at the time.

Howard did what any reasonable man would do at his age; he decided to break off the relationship and save both of them from the torment that they could have faced had they continued with the relationship.

Howard cried in his car after telling Myra that it was over because he really loved her, and he wasn't sure if they were ever going to meet again.

After the breakup, life went back to normal for these two lovebirds.

They continued with their lives, went to college, got jobs, and did other responsible adult things.

Interestingly, all this time, the two lovebirds always thought about each other.

Howard eventually married, but divorced later on. On the other hand, Myra remained single well into her 40s.

It was only by a stroke of luck that the two people were reunited after more than 4 decades apart.

They were reunited by a friend in 2014 and quickly fell back in love with each other.

They finally had a chance to reignite the old spark and that made all the difference.

The following year, they decided to tie the knot and spend the rest of their lives together as it should have been from the very first moment that they saw each other.

Now with segregation no longer part of today's society, Myra and Howard can enjoy their life together without any fear of retaliation from neighbors or law enforcement officials.

"Right now, it is just so much fun to be happy," the couple said.

This is truly one of the most amazing romance stories of the 21st century. It just goes to show that in the end, love conquers everything.
