The Duchess of Sussex started 2025 by launching her Netflix lifestyle series. In January, Netflix released a trailer for the Duchess of Sussex’s reality show, “With Love, Meghan.” According to the Netflix site Tudum, the show captures Meghan’s passions in the kitchen, garden, and nature. The episodes also feature many guest appearances from her famous friends, whom she hosts in the kitchen and outdoors as part of her series.

In the announcement shared by the streaming site, “With Love, Meghan” aimed to show how even the little things enhance the quality of our lives and experiences. The Duchess of Sussex understands this best, as she has an eye for detail and adding personal touches. She was also shown to be quite the host in the trailer.

“Sharing some of her favorite tips and tricks for cooking, gardening, crafting, and more, Meghan reveals how even the most minute details can help add beauty to our lives and, most importantly, help bring people together. Whether it’s preparing take-home gifts for guests or adding a sprinkle of edible flowers to breakfast, it’s truly the thought that counts,” the show’s deep dive revealed.

Although billed as a cooking show, “With Love, Meghan” also showcases the duchess’ skills as a host, beekeeper and gardener. The show’s trailer was also released on YouTube, creating a frenzy as netizens didn’t see Meghan’s career pivot coming.

Meghan also made her social media comeback in tandem with the release announcement of “With Love, Meghan,” as seen by the launch of her new Instagram account. Her first post was a video of her running barefoot on the beach before ringing in the new year by drawing “2025” in the sand. She followed this up with a second post, the trailer for her Netflix cooking show. In the clip, Meghan can be seen working effortlessly in her kitchen and garden alongside some of her guests. She captioned the post:

“I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support - and fun! As ever, Meghan.”

The trailer also gave viewers a glimpse into her home life with her husband, Prince Harry. Its official description read:

“This inspiring series, produced by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old. Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.”

Commenting on the motivation behind her show in the clip, Meghan said:

“I have always loved taking something ordinary and elevating it. Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them. I am going to share some little tips and tricks and how you can incorporate these practices everyday. This is about connecting with friends, making new friends and just learning. We are not in the pursuit of perfection, we are in the pursuit of joy.”

“With Love, Meghan” invites viewers into Meghan’s work at home and in her kitchen, but what may surprise some is that the kitchen featured in the show is not her actual kitchen. Instead of filming the cooking and lifestyle series in her Montecito home, the Duchess of Sussex rented a mansion for her show. It is reported that Meghan chose “an idyllic $8 million estate nestled within a gated community” for the series. The rented home also happens to be “around the corner” from the Montecito mansion that the Sussexes call home.

It has been revealed that the property where the show was filmed belongs to the Cipollas, an influential, philanthropic family based in Montecito. The idyllic home boasts four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a sprawling expanse of avocado trees and lemon groves. In the show, the Duchess also makes use of their stunning kitchen as she makes dishes using high-quality utensils, including the kitchen’s $18,000 range top, $700 copper pans, and $70 chopping boards, as well as pricey dishware.

Although everything about the home and its exterior paints a perfect picture alongside the Duchess and her famous friends, she revealed in the trailer that perfection is not the ultimate goal of her sharing “little tips and tricks” that her guests and viewers can incorporate every day.

“We’re not in the pursuit of perfection... we’re in the pursuit of joy,” she emphasized in the trailer.

Renting a home instead of filming the eight-episode series in her own is another way that she and Prince Harry are safeguarding their privacy. Their Montecito home has been featured in some official virtual interviews from a few angles but largely remains off-limits to the media.

With Love, Meghan” premieres on Jan. 15, 2025, with all eight episodes being released at the same time.
