Hidden Camera Shows Extent To Which Cat Misses His Human

It's a myth that cats don't love their owners the same way that dogs do. In fact, when you give them a chance, cats can be just as friendly and loving as a terrier or a golden retriever.

As you're about to see in this video from 2017, one cat's owner suspected that his beloved feline missed him when he was out of the house. And when he installed a hidden video camera, he discovered how much his cat pined for him during the day.

The video starts with Bobo staring at the front door, perhaps thinking that if he waits there long enough, his human will magically appear in the doorway. We then see Bobo wandering around the area, meowing loudly as if to say "Where did my human go?" It's clear that this cat is agitated by something.

He jumps on the nearby shelves and walks around the floor, crying aimlessly. This adorable little kitty really misses his human!

Once again, we see Bobo staring at the door while he swishes his tail back and forth. He even raises up like he's going to jump up and open the door himself as if he's going to find his human on the other side. When the door actually creaks open, the cat suddenly looks confused like he has no clue what's going on. Cats are such strange, funny animals!

Again, we see Bobo pacing around and meowing as he waits for his owner to come home. You've never seen a cat this loyal and dedicated. It makes you wonder if he does this all day while his owner is at work!

The cat paces around in the hallway and meows as if he expects his owner to suddenly appear in one of the two doorways. He sits down and stares intently at the doorknob. Clearly, he knows that's how you open the door: he's just not sure how to use it. Cats don't have opposable thumbs, after all! At one point he paws against the door, then reaches up and tries to turn the door handle.

And when his owner actually opens the door, he's off in a flash! Bobo gets a sudden burst of energy and starts racing excitedly around the hallway. He leaps in the air as if he hasn't seen his human in years. You've never seen a cat more excited to see a human being! He darts around playfully and races across the floor as if he's a brand new kitten that wants to play.

The video ends with a close-up of Bobo sniffing the camera lens. Apparently, this clever feline knows that something's up! He sniffs around the camera, then walks away—probably to go stare at the door for another hour or so.
