Gently move your body so that the ball is moving about the muscle. Try to notice any sore points and press the ball on these places for 15-20 seconds.

Performing the therapy several times during the day will aid in reducing tightness in the muscle and hopefully take stress off the sciatic nerve.

An uncommon solution for lower back pain is spicy food. The capsaicin found in hot peppers help to soothe swelling, which can possibly reduce the pressure on the sciatic nerve.

It is essential to recognize that sciatic pain is a sign that something is wrong, not the source or disease in itself. It is necessary to find out the source of your sciatic pain. If it is caused by a bone spur or herniated disc, you should expect more treatment.
