In August 2023, fans became ecstatic after Gwyneth Paltrow announced that she listed her guest house in Montecito, California, on Airbnb. The actress teamed up with the vacation/property rental company in order to “make the world a little less lonely” years after most people isolated themselves from the world.
In a video shared on Instagram, Paltrow did a short walkthrough of the home that she listed for guests to have an idea about the experience.
“I’m inviting you to come stay at my Montecito guesthouse for a night. While we may begin as strangers, I hope we’ll find connections and commonalities over a delicious meal,” she wrote in the caption.
Throughout the clip, the actress gave a rundown of what to expect on her property, like the usual parts of a luxury home: a fireplace, a small bar, a bedroom, a bathroom with a soaking tub and much more.
As a bonus, Paltrow also added some of her favorite products from Goop which she assured her guests their skin would feel better when they left compared to when they checked in.
Since the property is located in a secluded area surrounded by trees and nature, the actress said guests could have their zen moments with fresh air and lots of lighting.
In addition to all the inclusions mentioned above, Paltrow said in the video that guests have the option to have a chef’s dinner in the wine room with her. Those who are lucky to stay will have the chance to choose any wine bottle they like.

Towards the end of the video, the CEO of Airbnb, Brian Chesky, said Paltrow’s guest house was one of the best properties he had ever seen.
“I have everything all set up and ready for you, I can’t wait to host you in the guest house. See you soon,” the actress said.
According to the listing, the property has different amenities, such as a bedroom with queen size bed, kitchen, wifi, air conditioning, a private entrance, free parking and much more. In the description, Paltrow said the property is a place where she goes to “recharge, to daydream about what we’re building and to reconnect with my family and treasured friends.”
Described as the “ultimate goop retreat,” the actress assured her guests that they would be immersed in the experience to empower their minds, relax for a spa day featuring her Goop essentials, be filled with Goop kitchen-inspired meals, and all the freebies from her beauty and wellness brand.
“Take home valuable techniques (and an abundance of goop products!) to continue your journey towards emotional health long after your stay,” she wrote.
Elsewhere in the description, Paltrow assured that she would personally welcome her guests upon arrival.
After the video was posted, fans immediately expressed their excitement over the listing. One user wrote, “If I am not that of a stranger can I still book? Love this idea!! Who ever gets this will have the best time!”
“Is it strange that I teared up at the thought of such kindness? And from someone who has no need to extend such an invitation,” another commented.
