Gwen Stefani’s Engagement Ring From Blake Shelton Is Valued At Up To $800,000 Says Jewelry Expert

After dating for 5 years, The Voice judges Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are engaged! Gwen posted a picture of the happy couple to her Instagram on October 27, 2020, as her announcement. The gorgeous ring is estimated to cost around $800,000 with a diamond that is approximately six to 10 carats in weight. 

Pop Princess meets Country Crooner, and they live happily ever after! Blake Shelton popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, in Oklahoma on the weekend of October 17 reports Good Housekeeping. 

The couple first met when they were judges on The Voice, and their romance has been straight out of a fairy-tale in many ways. Both Blake and Stefani were going through divorces from their respective spouses at the time, and found comfort in their shared experiences reports Vanity Fair. “[I]t it was like being handed this gift of a friend who was going through the exact same thing at the exact same time," said Gwen.

Gwen Stefani was previously married to Gavin Rossdale for 13 years and shares 3 sons with him, Kingston (born 2006), Zuma (born 2008), and Apollo (born 2014).

Blake Shelton had been together with Miranda Lambert for 10 years and married for 4 years when he announced that he was divorcing her in July 2015 to his fellow The Voice judges. This decision to divorce met with shock as Blake and Miranda were considered to be a power couple of country music. 

Gwen Stefani announced her separation in August 2015, just one month after Blake reported his split. After becoming close and spending a lot of time together, Gwen and Blake announced that they were dating in November 2015, a mere 3 months after Gwen's divorce. The couple also recorded a song together in 2016, titled "Go Ahead and Break My Heart." 

During the coronavirus pandemic, Gwen spent her time during the lockdown with Blake at his cherished ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, reports Magzter. Her three sons also joined them, thus giving the family an extended period that they spent together. Blake told Magzter, "The simple pleasure of being together in one place for an extended period of time has been a real gift.”

Blake Shelton reportedly approached Gwen's father, Dennis Stefani, for his daughter's hand in marriage before asking her to marry him, according to Us Weekly's source. The source also said, "It meant so much to Gwen that Blake was so traditional about it." Additionally, People also reports that Blake also asked Gwen's sons for their permission before popping the question.

Gwen was reportedly over the moon about the proposal and had plenty of support for their relationship. "Her family very much approves of him. He's an amazing partner and a great extra dad to the boys. Gwen is ecstatic. The proposal was a surprise," reports People.

"Blake had the ring custom designed," according to Us Weekly, and while there is only a picture of the ring from Gwen Stefani's Instagram post, jewelry experts are already weighing in on their guesses when it comes to her incredible sparkler. 

According to Katie Zimmermann, who is the chief merchandising officer of the jewelry company Blue Niles, Gwen's ring is most probably a round or oval cut "set in a solitaire or simple pavé platinum setting," reports Refinery29. Gwen's diamond ring is likely between eight to 10 carats in weight, putting its value between $700,000 and $800,000, as per Zimmermann's estimate.

Another jewelry expert, Brilliant Earth's SVP of Merchandising and Retail Expansion Kathryn Money told US Weekly that she thinks the ring has a solitaire diamond that weighs about six carats and is set on a white gold or platinum band, which puts the ring's worth at least $500,000. This is a little less than the first estimate, but this isn't to say the ring is cheap! 

Until the details of the ring are announced by either Gwen or Blake, however, these speculations remain unconfirmed. Whatever the ring may be worth, it is certain that both Blake and Gwen are ecstatic about their engagement. The couple shared matching photos on their Instagram pages. Gwen's caption read, "@blakeshelton yes please!", while Blake wrote under his post, "Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020 ... And the rest of my life. I love you. I heard a YES!"
