Oct 10, 2020 by apost team
Get your popcorn and ugly Christmas sweater ready for Netflix's holiday line-up. They're adding 17 new original holiday movies this year. There's even a few short series thrown into the holiday mix. You're probably already hooked on many of the streaming service's originals, so add these to the list. The first movie hits October 28th just in time for Halloween. This means you have a lot of time to watch all of the originals by Christmas Day.
A few years ago, Netflix began releasing its original holiday movies to go up against the Hallmark schedule. Some fan favorites include The Princess Switch and A Christmas Prince. People seem to love the Netflix holiday line-up just as much as the Hallmark movies.
As Netflix announced, this new Christmas line-up includes some sequels to fan favorites like The Princess Switch: Switched Again and The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two. These will both be released in November 2020.
The first movie to hit will be Holidate, starring Emma Roberts. Dolly Parton even has her own special called Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square. It's all about a woman with no holiday spirit that plans to sell her little town, no matter what the people think. Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey brings the magic back to Christmas when a famous toymaker's invention is stolen.
