Gloria Gaynor Is Encouraging Hand Hygiene Amid Coronavirus By Washing Her Hands To 'I Will Survive'

As the world continues to grapple with the threat of the Coronavirus, the World Health Organization is advising people to stay safe by practicing good hygiene – especially when it comes to washing hands. Legendary singer Gloria Gaynor, 76, has now taken to TikTok to make sure her fans know to wash their hands so they can ‘survive’.

Gaynor took to the video-sharing platform this Friday to post a humourous video of herself washing her hands to her hit song I Will Survive.

Many fans have since seen the video, and have taken to Twitter to express their delight as the 76-year-old promotes hand hygiene in a humorous way. 

“Gloria Gaynor washing her hands to I Will Survive is the handwashing video I didn’t know I needed,” wrote one fan on Twitter

The Independent reports that although the video garnered an overall positive reaction from social media, some others expressed their dismay as the singer washed her hands with the water running.
