Girl Invites Soldier To Stage Not Realizing It Is The Father She Hasn't Seen In Two Years

When was the last time you saw your dad? Probably a week or two ago, right? For this young girl from Independence, Missouri it was a little longer. At the time of this story, Haley's dad had been deployed in Korea for the past two years, and she was uncertain when she would next see him. Little did she know she was about to call him to the stage during a Veteran's Day assembly.

Haley was led to believe that she was introducing a "special guest" to the school's pep rally, as Fox 4 News reports. In actual fact, the guest was none other than her Dad who she hadn't seen in over two years. Understandably, the moment was extremely emotional, but we're so glad they managed to capture it on film for us all to see! There's nothing more special than a Daddy-Daughter bond.

The moment highlights what those in the armed services sacrifice for the greater good. It goes without saying that every soldier, pilot, or other servicemen/women would rather be at home with their families, but they know they're doing important work for their country! We're so glad Haley's dad served, and we're even happier that he was able to return and surprise his daughter!
