Dogs are very protective animals who enjoy looking after not only people but other animals as well. German Shepherds are a breed of dogs who are known for being amazing guard dogs.
In a recent video making its rounds on the Internet, a snow-white German shepherd is shown cuddling with her best (albeit unlikely) friend – a baby goat. We couldn't find the origin of this video but we loved it.

This video shows a German shepherd protecting a newborn pygmy goat. Shadow, the German shepherd, loves this tiny cute goat. She even lets the goat sleep right beside her and cuddle with her.

Shadow let her maternal instincts come out with this baby goat. While she has had puppies before, she is currently spayed. Shadow’s owner thinks that maybe she took to the baby goat because she was missing her own puppies and cuddling with them.
It turns out, the feeling was mutual with the goat. The pygmy goat also had a strong connection with Shadow. The goat even thinks that Shadow is his mom just as much as Shadow likes being around the goat.
Shadow will lick the little goat just like many dogs do to their own young puppies. Dogs generally do this to show their affection, and it also helps them learn the smell of their puppies, according to Blue Cross. So when Shadow licks the goat, it shows that she really feels as though the tiny adorable goat is one of her own puppies!
