George Strait & Wife Of 48 Years State They've Been 'Blessed' With Love

George Strait may have an amazing country music career, but nothing compares to the love story he has with his wife of 48 years, Norma Strait. The pair have known each other for almost their entire lives since they eloped to Mexico in 1971.

In an interview with People magazine back in 2012, Strait revealed that the secret to wedded bliss is simple.

"Norma and I are so blessed that we found each other 41 years ago and were able to do all of this together, experience this life together, to support each other through everything, good times and bad," Strait told the magazine. "We do almost everything together. She stayed home until Bubba got out of high school and went to college, but since then she’s come on the road with me too. We love each other and we still like each other. A lot!"

The country star also reflected on his future plans following his 2014 tour. But rather than having anything "crazy" set out for the future, Strait emphasized that he really wanted to stay in with his family at his Texas ranch — especially to spend time with his grandson. 

In a testament to his devotion to his wife and family, George cast Norma along with the professional models and dancers in his latest music video Codigo. The video shows her smiling and serving up drinks. Congratulations, George and Norma – your relationship has certainly stood the test of time.
