George Strait Calls 49-Year Marriage With Wife Norma A Blessing

One man who has been rocking his marriage for almost 50 years, is George Strait. While the singer may have an amazing country music career, nothing compares to the love story he has with his wife of 49 years, Norma Strait.

The pair have known each other for almost their entire lives. The loved-up couple eloped to Mexico to tie the knot on December 4, 1971, and just celebrated with close family and friends in Texas on return.

In an interview with People magazine back in 2012, he revealed the secret to wedded bliss is simple,
“Norma and I are so blessed that we found each other 41 years ago and were able to do all of this together, experience this life together, to support each other through everything, good times and bad. We do almost everything together. She stayed home until Bubba got out of high school and went to college, but since then she’s come on the road with me too. We love each other and we still like each other. A lot!”

In a testament to his devotion, along with professional models and dancers in his latest music video "Codigo", George cast Norma. The video shows her smiling and serving up drinks. Congratulations George and Norma - your relationship has certainly stood the test of time.
