Friends Say Kathie Lee Gifford Is ‘In Love’ With New Man Years After Late Husband Frank Gifford’s Death

Kathie Lee Gifford is no longer coy about the new man in her life, years after the death of her husband, former NFL star and sports commentator Frank Gifford. Friends have seen Kathie Lee and her new beau out and about in St. Barts, along with six other couples, as they celebrated another friend's union in early January 2023.  

The popular American TV host of the now defunct show "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee" has been single since 2015 after Frank died of natural causes at 85 years old. Kathie Lee and Frank were married for 29 years and blessed with two children, Cassidy and Cody. 

This union was the second marriage for the TV star. She was once married to composer and music producer Paul Johnson, with whom she collaborated to produce Christian music together. However, Kathie Lee herself admitted in her memoir, "It’s Never Too Late: Make the Next Act of Your Life the Best Act of Your Life," that her first marriage, which lasted from 1976 to 1982, had no passion. They divorced after six years. 

Since Frank’s death, Kathie Lee has spent most of her time in Nashville while her adult children have their own lives and families in Hawaii and Nevada. In fact, during the Christmas holidays in 2022, Kathie Lee became excited at the prospect of becoming a grandmother again after Cassidy shared that she was pregnant with her first child.

Suffice it to say, the former "Today" host has been trying to enjoy her life as a doting grandmother and a single woman in the prime of her life. 

In October 2020, Kathie Lee revealed that she was ready to fall in love again and had been actively back in the dating scene. However, she told Page Six exclusively that none of the men she dated at that time was the guy for her. 

She was also not actively looking for love and didn’t even think about signing up on a dating platform. As a woman of strong faith, the TV presenter believed that God would make her next big love happen for her. 

Then in November 2021, Kathie Lee confirmed to People that she had been seeing a "very sweet man" for a while but refused to share his identity. She said the relationship felt even more special to her because she didn't openly talk about it in public.   

"It's just happy, and I don't want to mess it up, and I probably already have by just even mentioning it." 

Kathie Lee described her new man as fun to be around and he is also “the smartest person" she has ever met. She also believes that her special friend has been good to her, and she's been good to him.

Soon after, sources revealed that the TV star has been seeing Randy Cronk, an insurance salesman with his own company who is also 10 years younger than her. He met the TV star shortly after she moved to Nashville in 2019 to work on producing a gospel album. 

Friends said that Kathie Lee wasn't expecting to be in a relationship again but the couple is truly smitten. 

"You can tell when you're around them, that they're in love!"
