Who among us doesn't remember our prom? This milestone event in the life of high school students has remained a fixture for decades now and for good reason. Prom is one of the most exciting events of a student’s time in high school. From the fancy dresses to the lighting, the dancing to the feeling of love in the air, prom can feel just like stepping into a fairy tale!
Proud parents reminisce about their own proms, flashing back to their glitzy outfits and what seem today like crazy hairstyles that gave them memories they could cherish for the rest of their lives. Kids nervously pose with their dates as they look forward to letting their hair down for one evening and have fun as their school event takes a dazzling turn and gives them opportunities to make beautiful memories of their own.
For most students, prom night is one night that all students look forward to; it's the culminating experience of their high school careers and a night to celebrate how far they have come. Friends who have grown up with each other see each other in a new light, and it is memorable for everyone involved.
For four students, as they got up on stage at their prom to dance, it wasn't with dates on the dance floor. No, these four teens got up to dance for their entire class, letting them see a routine they choreographed to showcase the evolution of dance. Luckily, the routine, created from scratch by these German students, was captured on video and uploaded back in 2013.

The evolution of dance changes depending on what part of the world you are in, but for most of the Western countries, it seems like dances and music are all entwined with each other and share a similar trajectory of evolution through the years! This becomes especially clear when these German high school students take on the entertaining task of showing their classmates their moves as they explore the vast world of dance through the years.
Starting off with classic dances like The Twist, moving through to the Bee Gees, and hitting the classics like YMCA, these students know how to get their groove on and put it on display for the whole world to see! All the songs are in English, of course, which has become the lingua franca of the world in many ways. Moreover, as the internet draws the world closer together, the reach of English songs has widened and the popular hits of today in America can be heard in almost every country across the world.
At first, the crowd doesn't know what to expect when the four young men hit the stage, but they are treated to a dazzling routine in the first two minutes. It seems as though they quickly flick through a short-and-sweet version of the dance evolution. At the 2:05 mark, however, they reset and begin once more, and this time, their routine quickly becomes more intense and gets more complicated as the quartet stays in sync with each other. The best part about their whole performance is how there seem to be no missteps or mistakes.

That's probably the most impressive part of this—the students stay perfectly coordinated, a feat that we imagine must take an incredible amount of concentration to pull off efficiently. It's clear that these four talented young men, who call themselves the Teen Titan Crew, have put in a lot of time and effort into creating this routine and have also spent a long time practicing. While their official Facebook page does not have any updates past January 2014, we would like to think that the crew reminisces often about this incredible performance.
Not only did they showcase their insane talent on a very special night, but through tumbling, rolling and jumping over each other as they moved their bodies to the beat of every new tune, the students are able to direct what was surely a night to remember not just for the performers, but for their entire student body as well. As the routine winds down, the viewers are treated to songs like "Right Round" by Flo Rida, "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO, and "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen. The final song of the night was the viral sensation of that time, "Gangnam Style" by PSY.
As every song that we loved came up, we couldn't help but dance along as well! It seems as though the Teen Titan Crew were a hit on the internet as they have amassed over 4 million views as of March 2021. This is pretty amazing considering that this crew merely created a routine for their prom evening and did not expect to go viral on the internet!
One user, xMoonlightKonekox, who seems to know the group commented on the video, "To explain the origin of this ''Group'': They are not a professional dance group. They are just 4 Guys from my school in Germany, Nordrhein-Westfalen. They made this choreography for their prom celebration to show how much happened in Music in the several years they attended our school. It's basically just for fun. They put this video on youtube for their own reasons and because people liked it so much. Somehow it also went viral on youtube which is great :) Maybe they will do another video someday."
We certainly hope that the group gets back together one day to give us another video of them dancing! They are a talented quartet that has a lot to offer, and they have gained thousands of fans on the internet already, so there is always anticipation for what they may come up with. Almost all the comments about the dancing are positive, with a lot of the viewers being taken aback by the "shortest guy's" talent in the group.
Another user, Lexi Alvarez, commented, "Okay who are they?! we need them for our prom we will seriously pay." With only one video, the Teen Titan Crew has already received offers for paid gigs! This just goes to show that these guys did a fantastic job and deserve all the praise they are getting. For the German students from their class that got to watch the performance live, it was most certainly a performance they won't soon forget.
