Today, October 1, marks Jimmy Carter’s 95th birthday. To help him celebrate this milestone birthday, the Carter Foundation has made it possible for fans to send him personalized messages to be read by none other than the former President himself.
The official website for the Carter Foundation has added a feature that users from across the globe can use to send birthday messages to the former president. Jimmy Carter is only one of a handful of American presidents to have lived into their 90s and is currently the longest-living US President in history.

Last month, Carter made headlines after he and his wife were spotted building homes for Habitat for Humanity, only months after the former president had hip surgery.
"It's been one of the most gratifying and challenging and difficult things we've ever done you know physically speaking, because we've gotten steadily older. I was a lot younger when we started," Carter told CNN about working on the houses.
The Habitat organization is very grateful for Carter's help saying,

The couple has also brought about many volunteers including celebrities which in turn helps the organization become internationally known.
"Inspiring millions, President and Mrs. Carter have worked alongside 103,000 volunteers in 14 countries to build, renovate and repair 4,331 homes," the organization added.
