No one really has any idea when they may get into some kind of health trouble. You could be feeling fine one day as you are out and about, and then suddenly you find yourself in the middle of a heart attack or stroke. This is especially true for older men and women who may already have some health issues.

This was the case for a man who ended up in cardiac arrest last week in Chula Vista, California. The man was visiting a fast food restaurant at the time. He had no idea that he was in the best place to go into cardiac arrest. That was because a quick-thinking manager was on duty that day. The man, Tauya Nenguke, is planning to become a nurse one day.

Tauya Nenguke is the manager at that particular restaurant location. The actions of this amazing man likely saved the life of the customer. His quick-thinking is being praised all over the city.

Tauya was on duty in the drive-through on September 11th. As he was taking orders at the window he noticed something that was obviously not right. There seemed to be a man who was unconscious in the parking lot. He quickly ran out of the building to access the situation.

He found the man with his eyes rolled back and unconscious. He was also unable to find a pulse.

The 22-year-old had taken classes for nursing before, and his training took over when he realized that the man needed help. He told KGTV that he although he didn’t know how long the man had been unconscious, he did know that he had to give him help immediately.

He began giving the man CPR. As he administered chest compressions, local paramedics arrived at the scene. Luckily, the man survived. The manager said that instinct took over when he saw the man lying unconscious in the parking lot.

According to the EMTs on the scene, the manager helped to save the young man’s life by giving him CPR before the paramedics arrived. Officials for the fast food chain have stated that they are proud of his quick actions and his willingness to help someone in need.
