Fans Say Marie Osmond Looks Like A ‘Completely Different Person’ After Major Hair Transformation

Marie Osmond has become well-known for her signature long, dark locks. While the star has always been idolized for her illustrious and multifaceted career, this time, however, her recent hair transformation had fans buzzing. The 64-year-old singer, actress and TV personality debuted a fresh new look opposite to her classic style. In a recent video uploaded to her Instagram account, Osmond revealed a stunning, unmistakable transformation. 

The iconic “Meet Me In Montana” singer traded her timeless brunette locks for shocking blonde hair, making her look nearly unrecognizable without her signature color. The post instantly sent fans into a frenzy, with many stating their opinions on the drastic change. The general reaction was utter shock, with one fan remarking:

“Oh my Marie, why the drastic change?”

Many fans thought they would not have readily recognized her with the new hairstyle if they hadn’t known any better. Another fan shared their thoughts on the blonde transformation.

“Did not recognize who you were with that hair color😦,” they commented. 

Osmond’s blonde debut proved that a hairstyle can change one’s entire appearance, with a user commenting:

“I’m not sure I would even recognize you if I ran into you as a blonde. You look like a completely different person.” 

Some fans went further with their thoughts and shared their disapproval of the blonde hair transformation, as well as their hopes that she would return to her trademark brunette color.

“Blond is definitely not her color! I’m sure it’s just a wig and it’s fun to change your hair color!” the user said. 

However, not all comments were negative, and some users reacted positively to Osmond’s new look.

“Surprised to see so many negative comments about the blonde look. You look stunning! Ignore the haters,” one fan said in support.

Osmond’s hair transformation and choice of new hair color goes beyond physical aesthetics. In a prior interview with Closer Weekly magazine, the star expressed her desire to embrace change and step outside her comfort zone. Commenting on how she would handle her hair getting grayer with time, the singer responded:

“If my hair gets really, really gray and I can’t dye it black anymore, I’ll go blonde!”

Like many of us, Osmond dealt with the undesirable task of maintaining her hair during the pandemic. With the closure of hair salons and beauty shops, the star turned to DIY  hair care and virtual consultations on Facetime with her hair stylist and experts. Revealing this to ET Online at the time, Osmond said:

“I called her up and I said, ‘How does it look?’ and she goes, ‘You’re right, you really can’t do hair, can you?’”

The actress laughed off the incident as she learned to create an updo that her hairstylist had coached her through. Osmond also recalled how she had followed the instructions to look her best for the virtual interview. 

“She talked me through this. She made me pin this all forward in a ponytail, and she said, ‘Now you pull it over your grays and then they can’t see it,’” the actress explained.

Osmond, who has long advocated for self-expression and confidence, never hesitates to experiment with her look and switch things up. Commenting on easy and affordable DIY haircare during the pandemic, the singer said:

“It’s fun because there’s all kinds of ways you can hide things and do things that save time and money.” 

Regardless of the different internet views, and whether or not she will stick to the blonde locks, Osmond shows the joys of experimenting with style and being iconic forever – and this only makes fans love her even more.
