It marked a monumental success for amfAR, an organization dedicated to advancing HIV/AIDS research, raising awareness, and supporting those impacted by the disease. 

Not only did the event bring together philanthropists and advocates, but it also shattered fundraising records, raising expectations for future galas.

One of the evening’s most exciting moments was the live auction hosted by RM Sotheby’s. 

The auction managed to raise an impressive $11 million. This was a huge reflection of the commitment of those in attendance to finding a cure for HIV/AIDS. 

Sylvester’s painting, “Knocking Heads,” fetched an impressive $410,000 at auction, contributing further to the evening’s success. 

Additionally, Sylvester and Flavin were honored with the amfAR Award of Inspiration, recognizing their enduring support for the cause.
