Fans Are In Mourning After Tragedy Strikes Alan Jackson's Family

This week, Alan Jackson's family suffered a devastating blow to their family after his daughter, Mattie's husband, Ben Selecman died tragically in a boating accident.

This was the last thing that anyone in the family expected to happen, but the way he passed, showed a small glimpse of how pure his soul and how big his heart was.

At the time of his accident, it was reported that Ben had attempted to help a woman get onto a boat. During the process, he slipped and fell hitting his head hard. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but the doctors informed the family that it was too late.

There was nothing they could do, and he passed away from "severe traumatic head injuries."

Being in shock, Ben's loved ones, including Mattie, could not bring themselves to comment and remained silent. However, his co-workers shared their grief with the The Tennessean.

According to Glenn Funk, Davidson County District Attorney, Ben would be missed at the office, along with his excellent sense of humor. He also stated that losing Ben was a huge loss because he was a rising star, and that they would always be grateful that they got to work with him.

After his passing, Ben's family released a heartfelt obituary for him that showed their unwavering love for him and the love that he had for his family. They also displayed his devotion to God and his kind soul. It was undeniable from their words that he would be missed by everyone that he knew.
