Fans Applaud Cameron Diaz’s ‘Natural Face’ And Choice Not To Rely On ‘Filler And Botox’ In Her 50s

Cameron Diaz is a celebrated actress and producer who gained fame with iconic roles in films like “The Mask” and “There’s Something About Mary.” After a successful career in Hollywood, she took a break from acting, but on Jan. 15, 2025, Diaz made her long-awaited return to the red carpet.

Donning a sleek, dark-colored ensemble for the screening of her latest film, “Back in Action,” where she stars alongside Jamie Foxx, the actress caught the attention of online viewers, sparking a flurry of reactions. 

Diaz was initially set to attend the premiere in New York on Jan. 2, 2025, but the event was canceled due to the fires in Los Angeles. Netflix released a statement explaining the cancellation the day prior: “We recognize many in our industry and their loved ones are currently affected, and our thoughts are with them at this time.”

Diaz’s last film appearance was in the 2014 spy action comedy “Annie,” where she also starred alongside Foxx. On Dec. 16, 2014, she attended a photocall for the movie in London. For the event, Diaz kept it simple yet stylish, wearing a white shirt layered under a black jersey.

In 2024, Diaz made a few appearances, including at the Fortune Most Powerful Women Summit in October, where she discussed her decision to step away from acting. She said: “For me, it was just something I had to do. It felt like something I had to do to reclaim my own life. And I just really didn’t care about anything else. I didn’t.”

She continued: “Nobody’s opinion, nobody’s success, no one’s offer, no one’s anything could change my mind about my decision of taking care of myself and building the life that I really wanted to have. So, I think it really comes to: What are you passionate about? For me, it was to build my family.”

At the 2025 red carpet event at Zoo Palast in Berlin, Germany, Diaz posed for photos in a chic all-black outfit, featuring a long coat, top, and pants. A video of her striking poses, shared on Facebook, quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions from viewers.

One Facebook user said:

“That outfit doesn’t do her any justice..Bad choice.. (sic)”

“Is she wearing a tent store?” a user sarcastically questioned, as another wrote: “That’s so not attractive!” 

Users on Instagram also threw in their two cents after seeing photos of the famous actress posing with her co-star and long-time friend Foxx: “she (sic) forgot to do her hair.”

However, not everyone was critical. One person praised her beauty: “Beautiful and natural. Not full of filler and botox!”

Another admirer wrote:

“So great to see her NATURAL face 👏.”

“Happy she’s back! Looking amazing 🙌,” a fan wrote, while another commented: “She doesn’t age she’s so gorgeous (sic).” 

One user was astonished, noting:

“Is this her now? She looks amazing!”

During her break from the public eye, Diaz and her husband, musician Benji Madden, welcomed new editions to their family. On Jan. 3, 2020, Madden shared an Instagram post revealing they were starting the year with the birth of their first child, daughter Raddix Madden. The couple wrote:

“She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.” 

On Mar. 23, 2024, the couple shared news of the birth of their “really cute” son, Cardinal Madden. They wrote:

“We are feeling so blessed and grateful 🍀 Sending much love from our fam to yours 🙏❤️ Best wishes and Good Afternoon!! 🤘⚡️.” 

The couple made it clear both times that they are not fans of sharing any photos or intimate details about their children in a sincere effort to preserve their privacy.
