Fans Accuse Jennifer Lopez Of Cosmetic Surgery & Fillers After Video

Jennifer Lopez has one of the most recognizable faces in entertainment right now. And what a face it is. The actress, singer and dancer has often been praised for how good she looks for her age, but don’t try that backhanded compliment with her. She’s not likely to take it sitting down.

Born in 1969 in the Bronx borough of New York City, Lopez stole the nation's hearts with her performance in the 1997 hit biopic "Selena" and hasn't stopped since. Now in her 50s, Lopez is arguably one of the most influential Latin performers in the world. Her movies have grossed over $3 billion, and she has sold around 80 million copies of her musical recordings worldwide.

Lopez's versatile career in the entertainment industry is as iconic as her timeless beauty. The actress, singer and dancer has always attracted attention thanks to her sophisticated, young-looking appearance. Lopez has starred in a number of fabulous movies like "Maid in Manhattan" and "Marry Me" and also has several well-known songs like "All I Have" and "I'm Real," to mention but a few.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, who are often dubbed "Bennifer," are one of Hollywood's favorite couples. The duo attempted marriage twice and only succeeded on the second trial. They were regarded as the quintessential pair while dating several years ago. Lopez and Affleck met on the set of "Gigli" in 2001, and their relationship, which started in 2022, was quite popular.

On the other hand, Affleck moved on with actress Jennifer Garner a year after he and Lopez separated. The marriage produced three children: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. Affleck and Garner were together for over a decade before their separation in 2015. Their divorce was finalized in 2018.

Affleck and Lopez surprised fans when they rekindled their romance in 2021. In July 2022, they eloped to Vegas with two of their children to say their vows after the stress of planning a celebrity wedding got to them.

Lopez and Affleck celebrated their one-year anniversary on July 16, 2023. The duo went out twice that day, first with their blended family and then alone. Lopez shared some adorable snaps on Instagram the day after the event. The post showed her in a nude mini-dress with a sheer bodice adorned with lace and rhinestones in a diamond pattern. Her hair fell across her shoulders and down her back, and it half-covered her diamond earrings.

Lopez celebrated her 54th birthday on July 24, 2023, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be slowing down any time soon. The workaholic star is known for consistently putting out big projects, from feature films and albums to cross-country tours and beauty campaigns. The woman can do it all! She even makes time in her busy schedule to head to the gym, keeping herself fit and healthy with workouts that range from resistance training to bulk up muscle and tone her arms, abs and glutes, to circuit training, kickboxing and even dance.

Alongside a healthy diet that comprises organic ingredients and sufficient protein, the results are nothing short of fabulous. This was proven when Lopez took to Instagram to post a photo of herself in just a robe and matching white Intimissimi lingerie set. “Getting ready to celebrate 🎂🎉” the star wrote in the caption.

Two days later, she posted snaps from her birthday party showing her dancing on a table and captioned it, “Birthday mood…all month!! Always a good day when Lola comes to play…”

In 2022, Lopez celebrated her 53rd birthday in the romantic French capital of Paris alongside her beau Affleck during their honeymoon. The pair shared an intimate dinner in the luxe La Girafe restaurant located in the Eiffel Tower overlooking the magnificent City of Lights. During the course of the night, Affleck reportedly “teared up and began to cry,” as Lopez "was very loving and cradled his face. She held him and kissed his forehead stroking his cheek. Soon he was smiling again and laughing,” a source claimed.

The night ended with cake and sparklers as Lopez began to dance while her husband filmed the magic moments.

“They were both grinning and very happy,” the insider added. “She twirled around and was having an amazing time.”

Along with having a beautiful love life and home life, Lopez is also simply gorgeous both inside and out. The singer, actress and dancer has been in the spotlight for several years and continues to amaze us with just how glowy and effortless she always looks.

Back in 2016, Lopez spoke with People about how she looks so great at any and every age and went into detail about her typical routine. “I try to always to get as much sleep as I can so that I can start the day well rested and do my morning meditation and affirmation,” she said. 

She exercises quite frequently. “It’s no secret that I love dancing, so it doesn’t even feel like exercise to me,” Lopez said. “I freestyle dance with Tracy Anderson five times a week. We’ll incorporate light weights (three pounds) for the arms and moves that focus on the butt and thighs and engage the core.”

Along with this, Lopez has a good diet, ensuring she drinks plenty of water and eats her vegetables. The performer also has other tricks for keeping her skin healthy and young-looking, as she loves “glycolic acid to get that healthy glow and clear skin,” she “never” goes to bed without taking her makeup off, and “SPF is k-e-y.” She added, “You have to protect your skin.”

Focusing on age has come to be a bane for Lopez, who delved into the matter further with Elle Magazine:

"You never want to hear you look great for 50. They want to just hear you look great, no matter what age you are. And for me and for the company, that is a big part of it. We don't want people going, you look great for 60, 50, 40, 35. You want people to just go, wow, you look amazing." 

Back in 2022, Lopez talked about her belief in feeling good at any and every age and said:

“I believe you can look and feel amazing and sexy at any age.”

Over the years, the blonde bombshell has flaunted her natural look on social media, which most fans often find fascinating. In a video posted by Lopez on Instagram on Aug. 14, 2023, she flaunted her natural glow. However, the "Hustlers" star was accused by fans of having undergone cosmetic surgery.

This was not the first time the "I'm Glad" singer faced backlash for flashing her makeup and filter-free face. In November 2013, the vocalist was cited as a case study on Twitter, now called X, by Doctor Ayham Al-Ayoubi, a facial plastic and laser surgeon. According to the Daily Mail, in the tweet long taken down, Dr. Al-Ayoubi added a split-screen image of Lopez and wrote, "These before and after pics of @JLo show many signs of #plasticsurgery - naturally pretty but now looks amazing."

Lopez did not keep quiet about this false accusation and fought back with a simple statement clarifying Dr. Al-Ayoubi's claims. She tweeted, "Sorry Sir, but I have never had plastic surgery of any kind. #fact." The doctor was quickly slammed by a dozen of the "On the Floor" singer's fans, who tagged him as a "fake doctor."

After being slammed repeatedly for tweeting without any proof, Dr. Al-Ayoubi tweeted an apology to the actress, claiming the tweet was "written by my assistant without my knowledge…" but still contradicted his statement and added, "Sometimes clever makeup can enhance features slightly changing their appearance @JLo."

The 2013 cosmetic surgery accusation was just one of the many Lopez has faced over the years. According to People, in January 2021, the mother-of-two posted a video showing her flawless skin while trying a product from her skincare brand, JLo Beauty. In the video, the actress removed her mask, which was from one of her products, gave her followers a close-up view of her face and said, "Honestly, I cannot even see a line on my face.”

After sharing the post and gushing over how the mask made her feel like 10 years were removed from her face, a Netizen commented that Lopez only achieved that look through "tons of" Botox. Lopez did not hesitate to set the record straight and immediately shared a tip of her beauty secret. She wrote:

"LOL that's just my face!!! for the 500 millionth time...I have never done Botox or any injectables or surgery!! Just saying. Get you some JLO Beauty and feel beautiful in your own skin!! And here is another JLO Beauty secret: try spending your time being more positive, kind and uplifting of others. Don't spend your time trying to bring others down that will keep you youthful and beautiful too!!! Sending you love. #beautyfromtheinsideout #beautyhasnoexpirationdate."

After launching her beauty line in January 2021, Lopez revealed some great advice her mom gave her, which was that "olive oil was the cure-all for everything." The actress added that she had used this secret for years on end, denying ever using Botox on her face. Another beauty secret she shared was wearing sunscreen daily. In April 2022, Lopez shared her beauty routine, including washing her face with a cleanser applying serum, sunscreen and eye cream. 

Lopez has continued to prove to date that her beauty secret works wonders and has kept her youthful for decades. In her Instagram video, the actress went bare-faced where she applied cream and other products from her skincare brand. 

In the clip, the "Marry Me" star insisted that it was a "no filters" and no makeup video without any cosmetic surgery. She captioned:

"No filter. ALL. ME. #ThisIsMeNow at 54, glowing and happy @JLoBeauty.”

However, the "Shades of Blue" star's fans were not convinced. A fan commented, "54 with filters and cosmetic improvements. You should stop fooling your followers." Another fan chipped in and wrote, "Yeah, let's put a filter on and sell some beauty products." And others joined in writing: "54 with cosmetic surgery, Botox, fillers and filters. Just stop.”

Although a lot of fans kept speculating that Lopez went under the knife, some fans believed the star and praised her glowing skin. A fan commented, "You are 54 years old and you are so natural and beautiful,” while others talked about how Lopez's healthy lifestyle has contributed to her natural glow.

Per the Mirror, Lopez has a strict diet that was designed to keep her body in a healthy state. The diet excluded meat and dairy and was instead based on fish and organic vegetables. The actress emphasized the importance of a regular workout routine, which has helped to keep her body fit and strong. 

Despite any criticism Lopez has received, the star has continued to glow and show off just how stunning she truly is.
