Family Is Watching Parade When Mom Suddenly Spots 2 Faces That Make Her Lose Control

When you’re a part of a family, it’s natural to create our own special routines and traditions. Maybe you go out to dinner every Wednesday, play games every Saturday night or maybe you attend particular holiday events together each year. For one family, in particular, they enjoyed visiting the 4th of July Grasslake parade.

The family has been attending this parade for over two decades together. When the 4th of July this year came around, the family gathered up their supplies and chairs to watch the parade from and headed out to their favorite event.

The family was unaware of the surprise they were about to receive!

This particular parade in Grasslake starts off the same way every year. They begin with the Color Guard, which is comprised of a march including many members of all different military branches. The father of the family remembered to place his hand on his heart while the mother decided to film the occasion. Two of their sons were active in the military and couldn’t attend the parade. Their mother wanted to have a memory of the Color Guard to send to her sons for them to appreciate as well.

Suddenly, the unthinkable happened when the mother saw something in the parade she was not expecting. She lets out a joyous cry of “Oh my gosh” as she realizes what is going on.

The mother saw two men in uniform walking straight towards her and she soon realized they were none other than her two sons!

The sons, named John and Tom, were marching to represent the US Army and the US Navy during the Color Guard performance in the parade. It was a complete shock to their parents, who had no idea they were even in town! It turns out that the boy’s sister, Shannon, had hidden the secret for months in order to pull off this amazing surprise for their parents.

The parents were excited and extremely emotional at this unexpected and heartwarming reunion. This is the type of thing you need to witness for yourself in the video below!
