Known for topping the charts with his jazz and swing style of music, Canadian-born Michael Bublé is more than merely what meets the eye. While the wealthy musician with the model wife might seem to have it all at first glance, his life started out with very humble beginnings.

Born Sept. 9, 1975, as the son of a fisherman, Bublé had dreams that stretched way beyond the seashore, even when he was just a little boy. It was after listening to a Bing Crosby song that tugged on his heartstrings that caused Bublé to fall in love with jazz and the swing era. He wanted to be a singer so badly that he slept with his Bible in the hopes of becoming a famous musician.

However, this dream was long deferred, as Bublé was made to spend many summer vacations working alongside his father and other men performing commercial fisherman work. He described the work as difficult, yet said the experience taught him responsibility and helped to nurture and develop his strength.

Bublé's yearning belief, along with the support of his family, allowed him to start playing small gigs when he was as young as 16 years old. Bublé's grandfather, who worked as a plumber at the time, helped set up many of his earlier gigs by trading his plumbing services, in exchange for his grandson to have some time to perform on the stage. The same grandfather also paid for Bublé to have singing lessons, another gesture that demonstrated his belief in and support of Bublé's talent.

Not only was Bublé's grandfather one of the singer's biggest supporters, but he also credits his grandfather for being one of his greatest inspirations as well, according to The Times. Bublé has said that it was his grandfather's musical selection and tase that lit the spark and ignited his interest not just in music in general but in jazz as a genre. Whenever his grandfather, whom he calls his "best friend," would play old jazz records, Bublé said he would get inspired from the lyrics, which were what he referred to as "romantic."

Although Bublé's grandfather likely believed his grandson would be successful, it was likely Bublé's hard work and tenacity that helped him realize his dream. With his belief in himself, along with his unwavering passion, he went on to pursue his career by entering into a talent show, according to Today. Unfortunately, he ended up being disqualified because the show organizer said he was too young, and so he was referred to a talent search which he entered and won. After his win, Bublé returned to Bev Delich, the show organizer who disqualified him, and asked him to become his manager.

With the assistance of Delich, Bublé was able to get jobs at clubs, on cruise ships, in talent shows, at shopping malls and even in hotel lounges. He even snagged some small roles on television shows such as "The X-Files," "Mortal Challenge" and "Big Bang Boom." It was his television roles that eventually lead him right back to his true love: music.

After making several appearances as a guest on a national talk show, the music producers would have Bublé fill in whenever other performers couldn't make it. Not only did this opportunity help him develop his skills as a performer, but he received a great deal of exposure, especially since the show aired live. From there, Bublé continued to perform when eventually one small gig lead to his big break.

When Bublé's performance at a business party caught the attention of aid to Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, it resulted in him being asked to sing at the prime minister's daughter's wedding, according to Biography.com. This gig changed Bublé's life, as he was then able to meet a top record executive and producer by the name of David Foster. As the saying goes, the rest is history.

Foster, who is known for producing songs for some of the world's greatest artists like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Madonna and so many more, had agreed to work on one album with Bublé.

Fast forward a few years, and Bublé, the married father of three, learned to write songs and perfected his craft until he eventually realized his dream. With chart-topping albums like "It's Time," "Crazy Love" and "Call Me Irresponsible," Bublé has become popular with fans all around the globe. With his star still shining bright, Bublé has sold more than 50 million albums around the world. And as a producer, songwriter and singer, Bublé is estimated to have a net worth of about $80 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

With all of that singing about love over the years, the songs that Bublé has penned have taken on a life of their own. After co-starring in musicals "Dean Regan's Forever Swing" and "Red Rock Diner," Bublé took a liking to actress Debbie Timuss. Eventually, the two began dating and became engaged. Not only did Timuss act alongside her beau, but she even sang background for one of Bublé's albums and received a dedication on it.

Even with so much artistry between the two of them, as well as a song dedicated to Timuss called "Home," the two still ended up calling it quits in 2005. Apparently, Bublé took the breakup quite hard as it led him to pen a song called "Lost" not too long after the split. Bublé eventually begins dating again and was even seeing actress Emily Blunt for awhile. She too sang background for a couple of songs that Bublé.

After the end of his three-year relationship with Blunt, Bublé found love again with his current wife, Luisana Lopilato. After about three years of dating, Lopilato and Bublé tied the knot in March of 2011. It seems that Bublé wasn't the only one who was bitten by the entertainment bug at an early age. His wife, actress and model Lopilato, began her career when she was just 8 years old. Born in Argentina in the year 1987, Lopilato had her earliest gig as the star of a television show called "Mi Familia Es Un Dibujo." It was after Lopilato played a role in Bublé's music video for his song "Haven't Met You Yet" that the two met and eventually hit it off.

Miracles Come In Small Packages

Since their marriage, Bublé and Lopilato have had three children together, Noah in 2013, Elias in 2016 and Vida in 2018. Bublé, who leaned on his faith to help catapult his career, seemingly had his faith put to the test after his firstborn, Noah, took ill. The shocking diagnosis of liver cancer caused Bublé to cancel his tour in order to be by his family's side, according to USA Today. After undergoing lots of treatment, including radiotherapy and chemotherapy, Noah was able to beat hepatoblastoma and make a full recovery. Lopilato expressed how relieved she was to see her son recover from his illness and even referred to it as a "miracle."

After Noah's recovery in 2017, the couple welcomed Vida, whose name is the Spanish word for life, the following year. Although his career has been nestled in his affinity for the '50s era, swing and jazz aren't the only genres that Bublé has explored over the years. Not only has he covered some of the most popular songs such as "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Moondance," but he has also covered Latin sounds with songs like "Quando, Quando, Quando" and "Sway." However, the Canadian crooner is no stranger to creating hit records of his own, topping the charts with songs like "Haven't Met You Yet," "Home," "Everything" and "It's A Beautiful Day."

These days, Bublé isn't just writing and singing about love, he is living it on a daily basis. The successful singer went from the son of a fisherman to an international phenomenon.

With support from his wife and three children, Bublé continues to make fans swoon with songs like "When I Fall in Love." Even now, he continues to perform live with tours like An Evening with Michael Bublé, as well as appearing for guest performances. When he's not giving back to fans in the form of his talents, Bublé is helping various charities and co-owning the Vancouver Giants hockey team.

Bublé's most recent album is "Love," which came out in 2018. In a favorable review from AllMusic, critic Matt Collar writes, "All these notions of love and the stakes that drive our passionate emotions are redolent on the album, whose brightly swinging and upbeat production via longtime mentor David Foster belies the personal turmoil of Bublé's private life."

If you want to see what Bublé is getting into next, you can follow him on his social media page along with his other 2 million fans. There you can be one of the first to know when he'll be releasing new music, as well as possibly get a glimpse into his personal life with his wife, kids and more. If you can't make it to one of his live performances, you might be able to catch him going live on his Instagram page.

With consistency and dedication, Bublé has been able to make a name for himself — as well as a lucrative living. Seeming to have applied the same ethic to his personal life, Bublé has been able to share his success with his wife and children.
