Fans and judges of “The Voice Australia" were left speechless after a young man’s powerful rendition of Elvis Presley’s timeless hit, “Love Me Tender.” Dakota Striplin chose to start his journey on the show on the highest note, showing his incredible talent as both a singer and a guitarist.

The young man instantly impressed the judges, with Kelly Rowland and Delta Goodrem quickly turning their chairs for him. Fellow judge Boy George quietly sang along with him, while Guy Sebastian complimented him on his remarkable talent and expressed regret for not having turned his chair around for him.

But it wasn’t just his performance that made Striplin’s audition memorable. On top of choosing a song by the late, great King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, the young musician also bore an uncanny, striking resemblance to Presley. From his chiseled jawline, smoldering gaze and smooth, rich voice, one would think Striplin was actually Presley reincarnated.

While the late King of Rock ‘n’ Roll cannot be replicated, Striplin is one of the performers who has come as close as possible to paying a fitting tribute. After his performance, the audience erupted into applause. Boy George then asked Striplin why he had chosen an Elvis song. As if the undeniable resemblance wasn’t enough, Striplin dropped the biggest bombshell of all – there is a chance that he is actually Presley's grandson!

This revelation stunned the audience and certainly piqued the interest of the four judges. It also captivated audiences around the world, with the video generating over 14 million views on YouTube.

While a few people have shared common facial features with the late singer, it is rare to find one that has his musical talent, too. Striplin gave an explanation about his possible familial relation to Elvis, revealing:

“I've always loved Elvis so much. He’s been a big idol for me since I was little. But recently, my actually dad found out that his father wasn’t his biological father, and there’s a lot of history with my grandma. She used to work at Elvis concerts and apparently knew him."

"That's the running theory ... he could be my grandpa," Striplin added. Elvis only had one child and four grandchildren, among them his only grandson, the late Benjamin Keough. Singer Kelly Rowland also noted the unmistakable resemblance between Striplin and Presley.

“I mean, you do see the resemblance though, right?” she asked.

Faced with the decision of choosing his coach between iconic singer Rowland and the amazingly talented Goodrem, Striplin ended up going for the former. Luckily, the young singer does not only have the look of the King of Rock 'n' Roll, but he also has an unmistakable talent, one which carried him through to the knockout stage of the competition.  His talent shows in his ability to perfectly carry a tune without resorting to mimicking the late Elvis every time.

He has also performed on “America’s Got Talent,” where he sang a beautiful cover of another Elvis classic, “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” In all his performances, Striplin has shown that he is a talented and versatile musician and guitarist. He has also sung hits like “The Lion King” classic, “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,” just as perfectly as he does soulful songs.
