Eight-Year-Old Ballet Dancer Records Beautiful Recital At Home With His Younger Sister

2020 has not been a good year for extracurricular activities. Normally, this would be the time of sports try-outs and music recitals, rather than endless video conferences with mom playing the role of IT-guy.

Although the pandemic has shut down a lot of gatherings and venues, it has not had the same impact on a lot of spirits. The charismatic dancer in this video is Maximus Turner. Although he is only 8 years old, he has already established himself as a skilled and unique dancer.

Because of the pandemic, Max's studio has been shut down since March. It looked as if he would have the chance to perform in a re-schedule event, but other matters intervened. Because Max's father is in the military, they had to move unexpectantly. Thus, another opportunity for Maximus was taken away. However, Max is imbued with the spirit of a dancer, and he knew he had to adapt and overcome.

To make up for his lost chance, Max decided to create his own recital in his home, reports Good Morning America. Of course, no recital is complete with only one dancer. Yet, being within the confines of his two-bedroom house, Max was limited as to his artistic choice of cast members.

Enter his little sister, Liliana. The two trained together, with Max showing his sister the ropes. Under his skillful eye, Liliana looks like she flourished with skills of her own. The diligence that went into this impromptu show is impressive, to say the least.

In June, the time to showcase their recital finally arrived. The lighting was set, the choreography was complete, and the camera was rolling. The resulting show was a brilliant combination of skill and adorable children. It is not often that siblings like Max and Liliana collaborate and enjoy spending time with each other. Max's caring heart and Liliana's patient curiosity are a truly inspiring combination. To see it culminate into such a nicely-produced show is a wonderful sight to see.

Max's mom posted the video onto Facebook, hoping to show it to her immediate friends. Yet, the internet had other ideas. The video quickly became popular, and Max and Liliana were able to broadcast their talent to a much broader audience than they likely ever imagined.

Not only is this video amazingly cute, but the skill and dedication shown by both children are truly impressive. It is even more striking when you realize the care and love that exists between these two siblings.
