Dog Who Was Confined To Rusty Cage Experiences Freedom Of Running And Playing For The First Time

An animal rescue team called OTOZ Animals in Poland rescued a mistreated dog named Liszka from her owner in 2016. When they first found her, she was malnourished and hardly able to walk. With constant care and help from the rescue team, however, Linszka was able to make a full recovery. It goes to show, love and warmth can help to heal anyone. Seeing Linzka run around and be free after being caged for so long is a tender and moving moment for rescue workers and for viewers.

Rescuing just one dog can make a huge difference in that animal's life. First laying eyes on a little dog named Liszka, volunteers from this organization felt a whirlwind of emotions. Laying in filth and appearing to be on the verge of death, Liszka was simply a shell of the pup she used to be. Confined to her filthy cage for months, this dog had simply given up hope. Even worse, the rescue group had previously saved another dog from Liszka's cruel owner, according to The Mirror. Unfortunately for Liszka, it appeared that the trend of animal abuse had continued.

When the rescue group came back for Liszka, they were prepared for a struggle. Little did they know the owner would become aggressive about giving her up. With help from law enforcement, who now have an open animal abuse investigation open against the owner, OTOZ Animals was able to remove Liszka from the home. With malformed legs from the months she spent in the cage and a timid character from a lack of human interaction, the group knew this little pup would have a long way to go. However, they were willing to do whatever it took to rehabilitate this little dog who deserved a second chance at life.

In the weeks after she was rescued, Liszka made great strides toward rehabilitation and developing trust in others. Physical rehabilitation and massages are a normal part of her routine to strengthen her dilapidated leg muscles, reports The Mirror. After months of these efforts, Liszka even found a forever home. Videos of this little dog running, frolicking, sniffing, and playing have warmed the hearts of thousands of viewers online who have followed her journey.

Seeing just how far she has come brings tears to our eyes, but it also gives us all a sense of reassurance that there is hope for animal abuse situations. Finally finding a family who will care for and nurture her, Liszka gained a happy ending from a horrendous start to life.

The volunteers at OTOZ Animals do the hard work, day in and day out, but when you see videos like this it all pays off.
