Dog Heads To Beach Every Day For A Swim With His Secret Best Friend

As humans, we might not understand the wonderful animal kingdom, but our beautiful creatures seem to be able to communicate with different species. Take, for instance, a special dog that lives on Tory Island, off the coast of Ireland. His name is Ben, and folks fondly consider the handsome Labrador retriever to be the unofficial mascot of the seaside community.

Ben has a curious routine that begins early each morning as his hotel owner lets him out the door. Going solo, Ben's on a mission; he hurries through town to reach the harbor. Folks who live there have since learned about Ben's mystery trip, and even tourists are told to watch for the Labrador take off for the sea.

Ben enjoys dog paddling, but this pooch doesn't mind swimming to great depths because he has an ocean pal waiting. Douggie the dolphin likes hanging out with Ben for their splash time. Yes, this is a must-see video that is genuine and heartwarming. The unlikely animal pair has a ball in the ocean swimming around and does it every day.

When the fishing boat comes by, however, Douggie swims towards them to join the journey out to sea. Ben knows that his daily swim in the harbor is over for now. He watches as Douggie's large fin disappears into the sea. Ben swiftly does the dog paddle back to the sand and shakes his wet coat to dry. Then, he runs home to his master.
