A cheerful black dog became the star of a 0-0 football match. Fans weren't the happiest after they spent a game rooting for their favorite teams only for both sides to walk away without a single goal.
In true Labrador form, however, the dog decided to bound onto the field in the middle of the game and demand a belly rub from the goalkeeper.

The four-legged player interrupted a National Football League match in Gori, Georgia, distracting players and fans alike much to their own bemusement. No one is certain who the dog belongs to or how it wound up being able to make it onto the pitch, but it clearly had a fantastic time and brightened the atmosphere of a dismal game.
We tried to imagine what the scene must have looked like from the dog's point of view, and we're sure it looked like nothing more than a bunch of people playing fetch. The playful pup raced around the field for around three minutes before it was directed toward the stands by one of the players.
Initially, the Labrador Retriever bounded toward the referee before making a beeline for one of the players. The goalkeeper reached out his hand to offer friendship to the dog, who happily accepted and rolled onto his back, wriggling his legs as he eagerly awaited some belly pats.
It was an adorable sight to see, and everyone who was stressed about the game was able to laugh with one another and relieve some stress as players tried to lure the dog off the pitch. It took a few attempts. First, anyone who tried to chase the dog just encouraged him to run around more.
Two medics even entered the field to try and haul the dog off. They caught him by his two front legs, but he managed to twist himself free and continue his joyful romp around the pitch.
Luckily, fans were able to capture the adorable intruder on their smartphones and upload it to social media. Even Scoccer AM took to Twitter to share the dog's 15 minutes of fame. The canine even caught the attention of people who don't watch sports.
"I’d be a lot more interested in football if this was a regular occurrence," one viewer wrote.
The pitch-invading pooch was a welcome pick-me-up, and we're sure that the fans and players won't be forgetting the dog's cute antics for a long time.
