Devoted Mama Dog Brings Her Unconscious Puppy To Vet Without Any Human Help

In an amazing show of nature’s most heartwarming moments, a dog in Turkey carried her dying newborn puppy to the vet for treatment without any human help. Workers at the veterinary clinic were left surprised when the dog traveled to save her newborn’s life. The incident was captured on security footage and instantly went viral after it was posted on the Istanbul clinic’s Facebook page. 

The stray dog that the clinic later named “Mom” was captured walking through the Beylikduzu neighborhood with her sick puppy in her mouth as she approached the entrance of the veterinary clinic building. To make the scene even more touching, Mom proved her unwavering maternal dedication by making the incredible trip in the rain. By the time they arrived at the clinic, the puppy was hypothermic and unconscious.

Luckily, Emir, the vet technician and his colleague instantly got to work on reviving the little male puppy once they realized he was still alive. 

In the shared footage, the two men can be seen quickly working together to save the puppy’s life. They also used a hair dryer to dry the soaked puppy and warm him up more quickly. They believe the mom followed people who had helped bring one of her other sick puppies to the clinic. Once revived, the ill puppy was reunited with his brother and their mother. The two adorable puppies spent the rest of the time playing in a box. 

Unsurprisingly, the story and video footage won the hearts of many worldwide on the internet. Baturalp Dogan, one of the veterinarians at the clinic, told the Associated Press how everything transpired, saying:

“My friend Emir notices that there is a dog waiting outside the door… He opens it immediately and looks.” 

He further explained that initially, they assumed that the puppy was dead already, but thankfully, that was not the case. 

“At first, he can’t understand the situation because it is very strange. A dog comes with a puppy in its mouth and drops the puppy on the ground. It is not possible to understand at first whether the puppy is alive or not,” Dogan recalled. “The animal is already cold as ice.”

A faint heartbeat from the newborn puppy reignited their hopes and prompted them to take whatever action possible to save his life. Explaining this part of the process, Dogan shared:

“When I checked it with a needle, we noticed a very slow heartbeat," Dogan told the Associated Press. “That’s why I said ‘It’s a hope, maybe he’ll live,’ and we started the fight.”

After the puppy recovered, the small family was captured cuddling and staying cozy together. In an update, the clinic shared the following:

“They are doing very well right now, they are in good health…They are getting better day by day.”

The video touched many and took to social media to react, with one writing:
