Demi Moore Sizzles In Bikini As She Celebrates First Mother’s Day As A Grandmother

Demi Moore is an icon in her own right, and as she gears up to celebrate her milestone 60th birthday in November 2022, she’s hoping to defy cultural norms and feminine expectations with a new swimwear line honoring health and beauty at any age.

Demi rose to fame in the 1980s. According to Biography.com, Demi hit the big time in 1985 when she portrayed Jules in “St. Elmo’s Fire.” Demi became a core member of the Brat Pack. According to Insider, the term Brat Pack was coined by New York Magazine journalist David Blum to describe Hollywood’s rising young movie stars. The Brat Pack consisted of Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy,Judd Nelson,Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy.

Demi made her leading lady debut in “Ghost,” where she starred alongside Patrick Swayze. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Goldberg ranked “Ghost” as one of Demi’s most outstanding performances, while her roles in “A Few Good Men” and “About Last Night” were ranked second and third.

Since then, she’s dominated the screen, appearing in movies such as “Striptease” and “G.I. Jane.” At one point in the late 1990s, she was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood. She later enjoyed a resurgence with supporting roles in movies including “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” and “Rough Night.”

As she strayed away from the spotlight and took a backseat in acting, Demi became much more involved in her family and raising her children. After divorcing Freddy Moore, Demi found love again with “Die Hard” actor Bruce Willis. Since tying the knot in 1987, they started a family that became their beacon of hope and love for many years. While Demi and Willis appeared happy in the public eye, there were some complications behind the scenes. They shocked the world in June 1998 when they announced their separation and filed for divorce two years later. According to Us Weekly, their divorce was finalized the same day they submitted their paperwork in October 2000.

In an interview with People Magazine in 2008, she shared that she believed it was the right thing to do at the time. 

While she tried to do what she believed was best for her daughters, Demi never forgot to put importance on herself. The gorgeous actress, 60, denied getting plastic surgery but clarified that she had surgery only on her knees. As she continuously chalked up criticisms while she aged in Hollywood, Demi remained unfazed and focused on her family. 

As his ex-husband Willis was diagnosed with aphasia, she and Willis’ wife Emma Hemming came together as one big happy family to work together for the patriarch’s health and recovery. While the movie star is recuperating and recovering well, Demi’s daughter, Rumer added joy to the big family and welcomed Willis and Demi’s first-ever grandchild.

On Apr. 18, 2023, Rumer finally gave birth to Bruce’s first grandchild. In an Instagram post announcing her birth, Rumer delighted her followers, friends, and family members with the first photo of her beautiful daughter. 

“✨ Louetta Isley Thomas Willis ✨ You are pure magic 🌱,” Rumer wrote in the caption. “Born at home on Tuesday Apr. 18. You are more than we ever dreamed of ✨”

Louetta’s first photo was nothing but angelic. Sleeping with one of her hands up to her head and one under her chin, she looks cute with her dark hair. Nestled in a cream-knitted pillow, little Louetta is covered with a woven coffee-colored blanket across her chest. 

Her cuteness is undeniable in the said photo, sending some of her relatives’ hearts fluttering at the sight of her. 

In another Instagram post by Rumer, she posted never before seen photos of her while she was in labor and giving a water birth at home. Demi, her sisters Tallulah, and Scout, were all seen in the intimate photos she posted. 

But what got the internet gushing was Demi’s Mother’s Day post. With the caption “Circle of Life. Happy Mother’s Day!” the actress got everyone nostalgic and delighted in her photo carousel that celebrates motherhood! 

In the first photo, Demi makes a sizzling hot grandma as she wore a bikini while dearly holding a sleeping little Louetta. The first-time grandmother was all smiles in her aviator glasses, enjoying the perfect Mother’s Day gift! In the second photo, Demi was hugging a then-laboring Rumer, who was moments away from motherhood. The last photo was a stunner, as Demi goes full circle in a nostalgic reminder of her maternity shoot when she had Rumer in the 80s.
