There are many reasons why a child’s first day at college can make for a very emotional moment. Fathers, and father figures, happen to be one of the most important parts of a child’s life. They show us how to become useful, with many teachings that can last a lifetime.
Whether it be teaching us how to ride a bike, or ways to make money, fathers are very important. The wisdom that a dad can give his son is priceless, and a simple phone call can sometimes mean the world to them.

The sadness comes about when it is time for the child to embark on their life and finally leave the nest. This can sometimes be overwhelming for both parents, the father, especially.
Dads like Kenneth get emotional since the feelings can sometimes be so powerful that they can be hard to control.
Thankful To Capture These Moments

While all fathers are special, this one, in particular, has gone the extra mile in preparing his son for the future. One moment that will be remembered forever is the day that he dropped his son off for his first day of college.
When it comes to that last goodbye, Kenneth Mohammed was overcome with joy. The day that Nasir began his studies at Valdosta would be too much for Kenneth to bear. So much work for something so priceless.
It’s Time To Be A Man, Son

If you were to think of your last moment with your father, would it be a happy one? Nasir is surely thankful for all that his dad has done. In a video posted by WJBF earlier in August, Kenneth is seen very happy with how much his son has grown, but the tears have to flow. Letting go of his 18-year-old son would be too much to handle.
“Make sure you behave, son.”
These words are simple, but mean a lot to the young man, as he contemplates his future while looking into his dad's eyes.
Endless Hugs And Love

Finally, they both know that time is coming to an end. Dad must let go and let Nasir go on into the world as a young man. Wrapping each other up, they hug as if they will never see each other again, although they both know this is not the case.
Even the strongest men have to show emotion, and sometimes that calls for some “snot bubbles.”
As fathers, the idea is that you are there whenever your child needs you. You will drop everything if your child calls on you in need, and that is just what Kenneth reminded Nasir as their day finally came to a close.
