Couple Told They’re Having Home Inspection Only To Realize They Were Lied To When 30 Firemen Show Up

Adoption is one of many ways to begin a family. This option turned out to be the answers to one young couple's prayers.

As told by ABC, Michael and Karen Faherty both met while attending the Reserved Officer Training Program at Scranton University. A couple of years passed and the two joined together in marriage. Not long after, the couple decided to grow the size of their family.

The couple tried for four years to have a baby without success. Both Michael and Karen admit to feeling extremely disappointed during those four years. The couple then learned adoption was a potential option.

Michael and Karen were living in Maryland. Michael was a firefighter while Karen settled into a career as a nurse. The couple reached out to Adoption Makes Family to aid them in the process of adoption. The process had been going on for about a year when Michael and Karen came home to a group of people standing outside their home.

The couple was puzzled when they opened there door to see a toy fire truck and ambulance along with thirty real firefighters in an around their home.

The crowd gathered at the Faherty home sang 'Little Red Wagon.' Next, the founder of Adoption Makes Family stepped from the crowd holding a baby boy in his arms. The founder, Dean Kirschner, says he likes to surprise the parents with whom he works when possible.

Once Dean learned Michael worked as a local firefighter, he knew he had the perfect accomplices to plan his surprise. In addition to receiving their new bundle of joy that day the couple received a number of gifts to jumpstart their efforts as new parents.

The entire moment was recorded and shared with the public on Facebook. Many people were inspired and individuals facing similar dilemmas as Michael and Karen were especially touched by the surprise the couple received.
