Losing baby teeth is something we all go through. It's a sometimes painful process that is a necessity in order for our adult teeth to grow in.
Kids often get inventive when trying to find a way to pull out their tooth. Some simply wiggle it until it comes loose while others tie a string around it or take a big bite of an apple.
Something that most kids wouldn't think of would be to have their pet bird pull their tooth out. A bird playing dentist is not something many parents would encourage when it comes to pulling out their child's tooth.

One little girl from Lake St. Louis, Missouri didn't ask her parents for permission when she enlisted the help of her pet cockatoo, Penelope, for a tooth pulling session. At 11-years-old, Kylee Bobbitt has already lost several of her baby teeth. In fact, she's a pro at this whole tooth pulling business by now. When she noticed one of her molars was really loose, she decided to film a cuddle session with her pet cockatoo in hopes that the bird might assist her in pulling out the tooth. Even she was surprised when her genius idea actually worked.
Kylee explained that Penelope isn't like most birds. She's a little wild when it's just the family around, but when visitors come by the house she becomes more reserved. One of Kylee and Penelope's favorite past times is cuddling. Usually Penelope just cuddles Kylee's face, but this time the young girl decided to open her mouth and see if Penelope would poke around in it. The cockatoo didn't disappoint, first playing with several of Kylee's teeth until she found the loose one.
After a quick tug, Kylee's tooth was out and Penelope proudly showed it off in her beak. Kylee showed the shocking video to her mom who then posted it to social media where it soon when viral.
When Kylee learned that Penelope was an internet sensation, she wasn't surprised. She's always known Penelope was a special bird- one she begged her parents for.
While doctors advise against letting birds poke around in your mouth due to the germs and bacteria they might spread, this video is pretty entertaining and unique. If Penelope the Cockatoo stole your heart with her impressive dental skills, be sure to pass this video along so your loved ones can also enjoy it.
