Clint Eastwood Celebrates 91st Birthday — We Certainly Feel Lucky

Nearly anyone who has been a fan of Hollywood movies has heard the name Clint Eastwood. Clint has been a beloved American actor since the age of 24. He turned 90 years old in 2020, but despite his advanced age, he is still active in the glorious world of entertainment, leaving plenty of people to marvel at his longevity. 

Clint was born Clint Eastwood Jr. and is best known for his iconic image set during the '70s and '80s. While older patrons may immediately recognize him for his previous roles in entertainment, the younger generation knows him for Gran Torino and The Mule. The younger generation has only seen Clint in his white-haired days and has not fully had the opportunity to appreciate the iconic image of male masculinity he set back in the '80s.

No matter how or in what form Clint appears in his films, one thing is for sure: his energy is vivid. There is no denying that Clint has had a life well-lived. While his success in the entertainment industry has created a positive reputation for him, his most outstanding legacy is now his longevity. It is very rare for someone to live such a long and successful life.

Clint has been very open about the secrets to his longevity as he began to age. One tip that he gave was that a person should be able to adapt to their circumstances. Throughout his youth and adulthood, he exercised quite frequently and this kept his bones healthy and strong. He never stayed in one position for too long either. Clint's acting career took off in 1954 during his first film Revenge of the Creature. Almost immediately after, he landed a role in the film Lady Godiva of Coventry. Clint was criticized for his amateur acting, being that he was new to the acting industry. He continued to struggle over the years until he landed a major role in 1958. Since then, he has starred in a large number of films, including spaghetti westerns, The Beguiled, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly and Where Eagles Dare.

After his involvement in plenty of films, he decided to try his hand at directing and producing. This is when he became known for films The Mule and Gran Torino.

Clint has eight children altogether, and it is apparent that he desired to create a large family. His children may be just one of his many secrets to living a long life. Clint has lived a successful life and has plenty of children to continue his legacy. A few of them have gone into the acting industry, while others have taken different career paths.

Last year, Clint's birthday was quiet and spent with his family. His son, Scott Eastwood told Access in May 2020 where he spoke to host Mario Lopez about how he and his family celebrated his dad's birthday, who turned 90 on May 31, 2020.

Scott revealed that his family is just going to take him out to "a nice lunch" and "sneak a cake in there." "He probably won't like it, but we'll put one in," he said. Scott also revealed that senior Eastwood "doesn't like birthdays." There have been no reports yet about how Clint celebrated his 91st birthday this year, we hope that he gets to spend lots of time with his family and loved ones. 

Clint has been in a relationship since 2015 with 57-year-old restaurant hostess Christina Sandera from California. This is his first serious relationship after his two marriages. With so many children, people may wonder how the family members all get along. Closer Weekly reported that even though his family life may seem complicated, everyone gets along just fine. "He’s taken great comfort that at this time of his life, all his kids are close," a source told the magazine in June 2020. 

In face, his whole family was seen together for the first time at the 2018 premiere of the film “The Mule.” Christina joined Clint’s eight children and his first wife, Maggie Johnson. It may seem strange that all of them are together, but Clint is sure to follow his own mantra for life and give every opportunity 100 percent. “You’re given one shot, and you should do the best you can with it.
