A golden retriever named Chi Chi, was rescued from South Korea. This happened about four years ago. She was left to die. She was found in a trash bag with her legs tied together, rotting away.

The great news is that she was rescued and eventually made a full recovery. Recently she was awarded the American Hero Dog Award on October 5th, 2018!

Chi Chi had surgeries to remove almost 10 inches from each leg. She now has a set of uniquely designed prostheses.

She attended the Dog Awards that was held in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. There, she sported her radiant collar and her artificial feet, which were covered in glittery rhinestones.

Even though she has customized protheses, she has to rest and relax her legs to avoid getting sores and other painful issues.

Chi Chi found her forever home with Elizabeth Howell and her husband, and there other three rescue dogs.

This little hero now works as a therapy dog. She sometimes gets the pleasure of meeting others who, like her, don't have quite "all" of their limbs.

Chi Chi's story has inspired people though her experiences and how she has helped others.

Wouldn't you love to meet this little hero? I know I would. Maybe you know a dog lover that would be appreciative of this story.
