Cher Performs 'The Beat Goes On' on DWTS Finale As A Tribute To Sonny Bono

As the finale of the 28th season of "Dancing with the Stars" was reaching its dramatic climax, it was Cher who stole the show.

The legendary performer took to the stage to perform a stunning rendition of "The Beat Goes On." The 73-year-old proved that she still has it as she used the performance to honor her late husband and former singing partner Sonny Bono. Cher sported a vintage outfit complete with purple-striped bell bottom pants as she sang the 1967 hit song. Along with Cher, there were videos of Sonny singing his portion of the song.

The nostalgic performance was clearly a hit. Social media lit up as viewers paid their compliments to Cher. In addition to the performance on "Dancing with the Stars," Cher has also used this song in her recent tours. It is obvious that fans still love the song and the nostalgia that it drums up.

At the end of the night, it was the reality television star and former "Bachelorette" star Hannah Brown who took home the mirror ball trophy with her partner Alan Bersten as reported here in The Daily Mail. The two performed a reprise of their Viennese Waltz to the song "Lover" as well as a freestyle to the songs "Girl on Fire" and "Hollaback Girl."
